Charlottesville. You may or may not know what I'm talking about. You may not even want to know, but today, August 12, 2017, three people died in a very cruel and heartbreaking way, and probably more to come. Today, a White Supremacist rally was held, where white, privileged men walked many streets with torches and weapons, shouting. Later that day, in Charlottesville, people of all race, gender, and religion peacefully rallied unarmed, challenging the earlier violent one. In the midst of their jolly march, a man, who has yet to be named by the police, a man who was in the previous violent White Supremacist, drove his car at unprecedented speeds into the crowd. A 32 year old woman and two others were killed, while five are in critical condition. This is truly a heartbreaking scene, and my heart goes out to the families of the deceased and the injured. This truly darkened my day.
