I know. Me too. 

I write those four words, and I already feel like I've shared a secret that I was supposed to keep. Like I've given a piece of my heart that should just stay mine. But my life shouldn't be a secret. It isn't. It's not like everyone in this small town doesn't already know what happened with my mum. She left. Went missing. Got lost with her new husband.  

And she never came back.

I leave the letter in the same crack I found it in, and walk straight out of the cemetery without even visiting my mum's grave.
