"Mumma yaar where is my bracelet, I can't find it" I asked her while trying to find it.
"I don't know where it is chinnu" she said from the kitchen.

Today I have campus selection, I want to wear my favorite bracelet as it was lucky charm to me. It was the last gift from my appa.

"Ayyoo amma I can't find it please come and help me na" I asked her. She came to my room and started finding it and she turned towards me folding her heads near her chest.

"Why are you looking at me like that" I asked her and she came near me and held my wrist.
"See here it is" she said to me and I found that I already wore my bracelet. See this is I am, I forget easily.

"Sorry sorry" I said holding my ear and she shook her head in disbelief.
"Now come and have breakfast" she said to me leaving my room and I followed her.

She made idli sambhar as breakfast, my fav.
"You made idli sambhar for me, thank you so much amma" I said hugging her and started eating my breakfast.

"Amma bye, I am leaving and I will call you after the selection" I told her kissing her cheek and bid bye to her.

I went to college and joined my best friend preethi who is waiting for me. We both attended for the interview. I got selected for the job and I quickly called my amma.

"Amma guess what" I asked her.
"What" she said to me.
"I got selected amma" I told her and heard her praying to God.
"I am so happy for you chinnu and come home quickly" she said to me.
"Ok amma I will at home in 30 minutes" I told her and cut the call.

I went to my friend preethi but she is looking sad.
"Hey! how was your interview" I asked her.
"I didn't get selected yaar" she said sadly.

"It's ok yaar, it's just an interview and moreover there are so many chances for us in our life and this one interview can't judge your knowledge, don't feel sad" I told her and she nodded her head slowly.

"Ok I am going home bye" I told her and started walking to my home. My college is not so far from my home and it is walkable distance.

I was about to cross the road but suddenly a car moved in zigzag motion and hit a big tree. Soon smoke started coming from the car.

I quickly ran to the car and saw the door open with the person's head hanging out. His forehead got injured and bleeding badly. I quickly called ambulance and told them the address and asked them to come quickly.

People started coming towards us and I asked them to help me to take him out and they helped me. In the mean time ambulance also came to the spot and took him in a stretcher. I was about to go but he caught my hand and not leaving me. He looks pretty much bad so I thought to go with him.

We went to the hospital and they took him to the operation theatre. They asked me what I am to him. I told them everything about the incident.
I called my amma and told her about the accident and told her not to worry. She told me to be here till anyone of his family member comes here.

I saw doctor coming out of the operation theatre.
"Doctor how is he" I asked him.
"He is fine and you can see him" he said to me and I opened the door only to see him standing near the bed.

"Hey what are you doing" I freaked out to which he stopped moving and turned to me.
"Who are you" he asked me coldly, why the hell is he talking to me coldly.

"I am the one who saw your accident and" he cut me off and took his purse beside him and took some money.
"Here take this" he said and shoved some notes into my hand. I was beyond shocked seeing his behavior.

"It is enough or you need some more" he asked me and took some more money from his purse, this is the limit of my patience.

"What the do you think of yourself ha, how dare you give me money like this" I shouted at him.

"I helped you on the basis of my humanity and now I realized that you don't deserve it. I should have left you there dying and about this money, keep your money with you" I said and put his money in his hand. I was about to go but he held my wrist and twisted it to my back.

"Do you know who I am and do you know what will happen if anyone raise their voice infront of me" he asked me twisting my hand more making me wince in pain.

"I don't know about you and I am not interested to know anyways" I told him trying to free my hand from his grip but he held it more tightly. He released my hand and quickly turned me towards him. Now our faces are so close to each other.

"Then you will soon know about me" he said in a dangerous voice which made my heart run at it's maximum speed. He is looking dangerous, so dangerous.

"You know what you are the most arrogant person I have ever seen in my life and I wish I never meet you again" I told him and walked out of his room. I didn't even look back at once. He is the most disgusting person I have ever seen in my life.

I went to my home at night and amma opened the door.
"Is he fine chinnu" she asked me walking inside.

"Amma please don't talk about him. You know what he is so arrogant and rude. He gave me money for helping him and asked me is it enough or want some more" I told her what happened today.

"Leave him chinnu, as a part of your duty you helped him and if he is rude to you we can't do anything na. Now go and freshen up I will serve the dinner" she said and I nodded and walked to my room.

"Ayyoo chinnu wait" she said and came to me.
"I forgot to congratulate you. Congrats, my baby" she said and hugged me happily. I completely forgot about the interview because of that rude man.

"Thanks amma" I told her and hugged her back.
"I made payasam(sweet dish) for you, you come quickly" she said to me and I left to my room to get freshen up.

I looked at my hand and there are red marks on my wrist where he held me.
"Ayyoo kaduvale(oh God), that beast" I touched it and hissed in pain. That egoistic man, if again I see him then I am not going to leave him.
