It all began with a little elementary crush...

One day during recess in 6th grade Clint had told me that he was moving for middle school.

--------------------------------------

High school is finally here, and I hear a voice coming from down the hall, yelling my name. I don't really remember that voice, so I turn to see who it is.. and I don't recognize who it could be.

So I walk up to the person that yelled my name, and he got closer to me and tried to give me a hug, but I backed away from him, so I can process who he was.. Then he started to speak..and at first it was really awkward, like who are you. Until it wasn't.

"Hey Paisley, remember me??" He asked.

"Ummm not really, can you give me your name?" I replied.

"Oh sorry, it's me Clint... Are you sure you don't remember me?" He asked once again.

"Oh my god, Clint I'm so sorry, I didn't recognize your voice, and you look very, very different." She says biting her lip while checking out his abs. ... but now seeing you closer, your hair hasn't changed one bit."

"Yeah, over my middle school year i actually grew it out very curly, not too long, but also not too short. Also I went through some goth phase in middle school." He explained.

"So anything else happened in middle school?"

"Umm kind of, I got a girlfriend. Her name is Kaliee, but we broke up after. We've been dating for like 6 months. I really liked her but she didn't think I was good enough for her." Clint said.

"Oh wow, I'm sorry to hear about that.. There's many fish in the sea, don't blink for just one of them."

"Yeah that's true, but like no one likes me now. I'm still just new here and you're the only person I know so far.... Do you have any friends?" Clint asked.

"How rude Clint, of course I have friends? Maybe?" I said in a confused tone.

"Oh yeah, so can I meet them?" Clint said.

"Ummmmmm yeah they're right over there. Come on."

We walked over to my best friend in the whole entire world. Sometimes I act like I'm the boss of her and make her do my homework. However I always go shopping with her so that makes up for it. She's also the so-called "rich girl."

"Hey! Waverly! Over here, I have someone for you to meet." I yelled from across the hall.

Waverly approaches Clint and I, but I'm surprised, she isn't by herself. She brought someone along and I don't think I met him before. Please tell me that Waverly did not get a boyfriend over the summer and somehow appears at the same school.

Oh no no no I'm going to kill her, she wasn't supposed to get a boyfriend yet, or until I got one first.

Why? Because we were going to wait till were at least 17 or 18 years old to get our first ever boyfriend.

But whatever, she totally just ruined that plan. If that boy that she's with ends up to be her boyfriend, she's dead.

Oh yeah, well I can ruin the plan too... How you may ask? I don't know, I'll probably be brave and ask Clint.

"Hey girl, how were you this summer?" Waverly asks.

"It was good, but it was boring because I didn't even get out of the house, only time I went out of the house was just to check the mail. I wish I could've gone places with you this summer. But noooooo since my mom and dad wants to be jerks."

"Sooo, anything new about you that I should know about?"

"No not really, all you should know about is probably that I have a crush on someone and you possibly know him. So who's that boy over there. Anything I should know hmmmm????"

"Oh, yeah that's Clint. My friend from elementary and I have dibs so you can't have him. So who's that boy." I whisper.

"Stop changing the subject paisley, why do you have dibs?"

"You stop changing the subject Waverly, who's the boy"

"What boy, there's no boy. I don't know what your talking about." Waverly said in a very high pitched voiced which she never does.

"Waverly, I know your lying, you always talk in a high pitched voice when your lying. Plus I can see him, so there's that." I replied.

"Are you sure there's someone..." Waverly gets interrupted.

"Waverly stop this, and try to actually tell the truth to your best friend. If you can't do that then I'm taking a break of being your best friend. If you can't handle that, then bye." I replied and stormed off.

But of course I can't leave Clint there by himself, not knowing what the heck is going on, so I brought him along.

"Sorry Clint, I know you're new here and I already started my high school life with drama with my best friend, or who I thought was my best friend."

"It's alright, it always happened with me at middle school, with my girlfriend. Just know that I'll always be there for you when you need me." Clint said in a very comforting way.

"Thanks Clint, I knew I could always count on you from day one."

"Hey, can I come over, I want to see if your family still remembers me, it's been a while." Clint asked.

"Sure, I don't really know if they fully remember you, but they might. You'll have a good chance. Hopefully."

About 30 minutes later we made it to my house... It was a very tiring walk but we finally made it.

We walk up to my house and Clint was a bit nervous to see my family again.

"Clint you don't have to be nervous, you'll be fine. I promise."

"Thanks, I really appreciate it." Once he said that my mom had opened up the front door, and I ....

"Clint, is that you. Oh my goodness I haven't seen you in ages, how are you doing?"

"Ok, so... my mother has the tendency to interrupt everything I say, I just ignore her." I whisper to Clint.

"Come in, come in Clint, i'm pretty sure everyone is going to be happy to see you."

"Hey Clint, how you been boy, how's school and everything, your family doing alright??" My dad asked.

"Hey, well everything's been great, my family is doing well. They really miss you guys and hope to visit soon."

"You must stay for dinner." My mother says. I do not understand why, the last time my mom invited someone over for dinner. My mom's cooking almost killed them. They spent a whole week in the hospital. When you live with her you build up a tolerance for it but never eating before now could kill him.

"Sure, let me just call my mom and tell her." He says.

Torn between freaking out that Clint is eating at my house and worrying that my mom will kill him.
