considering i don't write romance unless at glacial tiptoe pace and minimal action, don't get your stock wattpad romance hopes up. or do, based off past works, another 10-15 chapters. 50/50 chance of getting a peck—maybe. No spoilers!

[ Kill Your Heroes ]

The heavy waft of smoke lingered in the air as the interns and Endeavour arrived at the scene. Hosu was filled with flames.

At a crosswalk, people ran in terror in all directions. Outburst a large and muscular creature being pursued by a short man in a yellow cape, age not too kind to his appearance but his speed on another inhumane level. Some retired hero, likely.

The creature, however, was far too familiar. Todoroki and Hinata recognized it as another 'Nomu' figure, similar to the one back at the USJ. Incinerated in a matter of moments by Endeavor, almost putting All Might to shame. Yet—this time they did not seem just as strong as the one back then made specifically to kill the Symbol of Peace...

At the same time, both intern's phones buzzed. Todoroki got the chance to check, but Rin couldn't even get it out of her pocket as talons yanked her towards the sky.

Rin held onto the talon gripping her, a flying Nomu soaring sky high with her hood in its clutches. She wasn't about to take the leap of faith from as high as the office building next to her. Her hands shook, fear at this high up didn't grant her the same freedom as to when she soared through the air on her own.

A makeshift fire spearheaded the Nomu's way while she was still in it's grip, piercing through it's eyes. Cleary Endeavour was placing too much stock in her wind quirk, cause now she was free of a grip and falling back-first through the air.

Use your fucking quirk, use your fucking quirk you shaking idiot or you're going to--

Endeavour grabbed her mid-air, setting her down the next instant. "I'm giving you authorization, go after Shoto!"

You're all putting too much stock in me. Rin checked her phone, looking at Midoriya's location before running to his location, tagging power lines on her way. I can't even save myself, she thought, approaching an alleyway that was in a wreck of ice, blood, and flames blazing loose. Midoriya, Iida, and a hero she recognized as Native all slumped on the ground—alive but apparently paralyzed. The heavy stench, the dark and wet alleyway, the blazing flames almost made her keel over and vomit—what the fuck did Endeavour want her to do?

I'm not ready for this.

It wasn't like Rin hadn't been in a ton of fights before, but seeing the heavily bandaged short-faced hero killer made her gut do backflips. Stain, of all the trouble Midoriya seemed to attract she hated this the most.

"Iida-san, I don't usually talk to people," she remarked as it clicked. Ingenium had been attacked, this was not a coincidence and now they were all in a mess, "but I'm going to tear you a new one after this."

Midoriya was alarmed, only noticing as she spoke up. "Be careful of his—"

Yeah, Yeah, he's not going to touch me cause I'm too terrified to risk getting close enough for offensive where I mess up. Instead, Rin's staff whipped out at the hero killer's sword made an arc under Todoroki's arms, which she swooped to defend despite her sweaty palms, watching his fire flicker out in time to not harm her.

Stain jumped back to summarize his newcomer, who was shaking like a purse chihuahua in subzero.

"Are you okay?" Todoroki asked, though he really shouldn't be the one asking. She supposed getting ripped into the sky by a hybrid creature might make one wonder.
