20. Insanity

Inside a room blacker than night itself

A window shatters suddenly.

The screaming pain stops.

And my tongue is lost for words as

Sounds resonate off the matte walls

While rainbows trickle down the crystalline

Pillars centered at each glowing corner

Of this death-stricken room.

My former imagination protrudes from its

Shell, as my thoughts and feelings are

Being pushed outward and into the light

Of day.

Emptiness fills me as I try to get up.

Looking around, I feel the presence of my

Thoughts dancing in midair.

Am I dead?

No.

Just insane.
