"What do you think he meant by I'm too good for him?" Amy asked as she talked through her phone to Callie.

"Well he doesn't deserve you, if he thinks he can lead you on and just stop talking to you in all general, then he's wrong." Callie assured. "Hey am can I call you back later my mom is yelling at me?".

"Uh ye-. Oh, she hung up." Amy worried as she looked at her phone confused. Amy got up from her bed and just signed. She walked out of her room and headed downstairs. She grabbed a cup and poured water from the her fridge and walked towards her front door. she sat down on the steps of her house watching the gradient of the sky. Like every Friday night before the sun would fully set. She loved how the sky would turn from its usual blue to a beautiful pastel pink. Not to mention the silhouette of the swings from the park in front of her school made the image look even more spectacular.

The steps were her escape on life. Today was different though, she thought about the same thing on repeat.

"Don't get me wrong Amy I like you and all but you're just too good for me." The same words stuck to her brain like a song, but not a happy one.

Amy awoke to the sound of birds chirping. Usually she would be pleased but with what happened yesterday she's left with confusion. She got out of bed and looked out the window, everything outside was peaceful. She knew that the longer the day the less peaceful it will become.

She quickly got dressed in a white dress with some brown sandals. She ran down stairs and out the door. She knew she was going to regret this but she has to know.

She walked over next door and knocked on the door lightly. A boy around her age opened the door. Noah Spencer, school bad boy and Amy's neighbor. He was muscular that's for sure. He wore a gray t-shirt with black jeans.

"Baker?" He smirked as he leaned against the door frame. "Did your cousin's ball go over the fence again?" He asked, Amy just shook her head.

"I need help with something..." she looked up and down at Noah almost desperate.

"You know usually I take a girl out to a movie or dinner before" he laughed.

"Jesus no not that. Ew gross" she shivered. Noah just laughed. "It just that... your friend Jason... he said something's and I just don't understand them.".

"Jason says a lot of things but he likes you... what did he say exactly?"

"Well he said that I was too good for him..." Amy told him. Noah just laughed. "You know you laugh a lot... it's not helping"

"Walk with me Baxter"

"Baker"

"That's what I said"
