New faces

Clementine has been walking for hours now her legs were growing quite tired from all the walking they had been doing. She sighed as she heard a whine from right next to her, she looked down to see Sam walking next to her his head hanging low as the poor dog was getting tired as well. " Hey boy...I know you're tired I am too...maybe with some luck we can find us a car, and you can  sleep all you want in the back seat ok?" She spoke reaching she used her free hand to pet the dog on the head which caused his ears to perk up and bark in enthusiasm. "Good boy keep your hopes up....we will find something..." Clementine spoke now adjusting the shot gun in her hands.

As the two partners walked down the road she saw a junk yard up ahead and stopped in her tracks causing Sam to stop as well and look up at her in curiosity "How about we look around here for a bit? maybe we can find something useful here....just remember stay quiet ok Sam?" She spoke to the dog putting her finger up to her lips making a shushing motion which he understood. She smiled at the dog and began walking into the junkyard Sam following right next to her. His ears were perked up high listening for anything that could be a threat.

Clementine kept her eyes peeled as she searched through some things only to find well junk. "Dammit....no car no food no...nothing..." She groaned out in frustration throwing an empty can  somewhere. Suddenly Sam started barking nudging Clementine with his head to go forward "Sam! I told you to be quiet! what's gotten into you???" She scolded the dog as she followed him an annoyed look on her face. She hoped he didn't alert anyone...or thing.. Clementine's eyes widen as she saw a functioning looking van in front of them. She smiled down at Sam who just looked back up at her with wide brown eyes which held excitement. "Good boy Sam! Good boy! " She spoke rubbing his ears which Sam enjoyed very much.

Clem's eyes narrowed again as she looked back at the van "Keep a look out Sam, bark if you see or hear anything close by ok?" She spoke using her hands to motion what he had to do so he could understand better. Sam gave a soft bark meaning he understood her. Clem smiled and rubbed his head before she walked up to the van and opened it she got into it and began looking for the keys..."Urg...looks like I'm gonna have to hotwire you huh...well what ever works ..." She muttered as she moved under the wheel "Thank you Kenny for teaching me this...." She spoke softly remembering all the lessons Kenny had taught her.

Before she could even start she heard a scream of pain followed by Sam's barking then a gunshot. Imminently she grabbed her shot gun and hopped out of the van running over to where Sam was fear filling her heart for her companion or over a year or two. When she got to the scene she saw Sam was un harmed thankfully, but he was biting onto a boy's arm he was around her age, he wore an orange beanie, white shirt and a blue hoodie. The boy screamed in pain as he struggled against Sam to reach his fallen gun which Clementine kicked away. She pointed her shot gun at him and narrowed her golden eyes " Sam, off" She spoke to the dog causing him to unleash the boy's arm and rush to her side all the while glaring and growling at him.

" Who the hell are you?!" Clem asked the whimpering boy who grabbed his bleeding arm. He looked up at her and tried his best to glare at her but the pain in his arm was far to great to do that so he just stayed silent which only made Clementine glare more " Answer me!! " She yelled at him only to hear a deeper voice answer from behind her " Drop the gun NOW" She turned around to be met with a man maybe in his late twenties pointing a gun at her a glare on his face almost as fierce as his. Next to him was a woman around the same age as the man and a little girl around 10 maybe. Clem locked eyes with the cowering girl for a moment then the woman and finally the man.

Then it all clicked this was the boy's family....her eyes softened a bit and she lowered the gun slowly "Ok....Ok..." She spoke softly dropping her gun Sam whining as she did so "Shhh...its ok boy..." She muttered to him "Now who are you what did you do to Gabe?!" he demanded to her. Gabe was his name huh....? Clementine went t speak but 'Gabe' beat her to it "Uncle Javi She was trying to steal our van I was gonna stop her when her mutt bit me!" He shouted as the two girl's ran to his aid while the man now known as Javi glared more at her " Is that right...?" he growled as Clementine sighed "I-WE found it ok? I told Sam to watch my back and that's when he got bit he had a gun pointed at me from what I could see that's why Sam attacked he was protecting me" She explained herself as Javi sighed and nodded putting his gun down causing Clem to sigh in relief "Names Javier..Javi for short ...That's Kate" He introduced the adult woman "And that's Marianna" he pointed to the little girl "and the one that your dog bit here is Gabe" Javi spoke as Gabe glared at her which she did the same except hers was more...menacing it imminently caused the boy to cower back.

"Clementine and this is Sam...sorry about his arm, Sam only attacks when he or I am threated so yeah...." She explained as Kate rolled up Gabe's sleeve "fuck it's bleeding bad it's deep Javi...." She explained "It needs stitches or he ...he'll bleed out...." She explained as the family looked horrified at the woman. Sam whined a bit as Clem took off her bag and unzipped it, she couldn't believe she was doing this but....she had to help these people they seemed ...like good people.  She pulled out some bandages and tossed them to Kate "Here this should hold him a while , I know a place called presscott they have a doctor here that can help you out" Kate caught the bandages and began wrapping Gabe's arm while Gabe rolled his eyes weakly " Why should we trust you?! you tried to kill me! how do we know if this place is real or not?!" He yelled as Kate and Javi looked at each other "With the herd on our tail and Gabe's arm...we gotta risk it" Javi spoke kate nodded her head 'Agreed' she spoke as Marianna silenced a protesting Gabe as she helped him into the van. "Um Clementine go ahead and get in " Javi spoke awkwardly as he and Kate got in as well starting up the van. Clementine jumped in Sam following suit as she slamed the van door shut and sat in the back of the van Sam laying on her lap. she sighed nice to finally sit for once.....She rubbed Sam's head and wondered is this were a new adventure begins....
