Donut Love

Chapter 3

The next morning I was woken up at 8:30 by my mom she was so excited for me, I took a shower then got dressed and went down stairs to find, mom, dad, mason, and Elijah waiting in the living room. It was now around 9:00 I was tired but excited I was shocked that Elijah was here because he doesn't wake up until about 11:30 but he was here. Me and mom got in the car after everyone wished me luck and have their hugs, I was nervous and mom could tell I was because she offered me some advise to help me get through it.

she told me to make sure I give eye contact but don't stare into their souls, give a firm handshake when you meet her in person, give confident and clear answers. I was glad mom was such a good advise giver, I don't know what I would do without her.

When we arrived at Paul's Donut Shop my mom gave me a kiss on the forehead and said good luck, I got out of the car and went in the donut shop with my head held high with confidence, but on the inside I was a nervous wreck.

As soon as I was in the shop, I went up to the counter and said to a boy behind the register that I have an interview, he brought me into an office and I sat down in one of the two chairs he looked me in the eyes with his bright baby blue ocean eyes and smiled at me saying good luck I hope you get the job, I smiled back and told him thanks and looked down at his name tag. His name was tommy and I was lost for a minute, lost in his eyes.

Then Tilli came in and I stood up and firmly shook her hand looking in her eyes with a smile in my face and with a sweet voice I said hello.

She looked like a nice woman, she had long strawberry blonde hair, and bluish green eyes that sparkled when the light hit them just right. We sat down and began my interview she asked me if I had any experience working at a donut shop I said no, then she asked me if I had ever used a cash register I said no, after that se got the idea that I've never done anything. she told me I looked like a hard worker and she was going to give a chance but I have to have some training first.

I asked her who would be training me and she asked if I knew anyone that worked here but sadly I didn't but I asked her if tommy could and she said she would ask him. I was so excited and that I start training in two days. I have to wear a white shirt with blue jeans. I didn't care what I had to wear I got a chance at the job. I stood up and shook her hand and thanked her so very much because this would be my first job.

I calmly walked out of her office and went over to that boy tommy, he asked me how it went and I said, it went well I got the job I just need someone to train me she asked me if I knew anyone here I said no but I asked her If you could train me, she said she would ask you. tommy loved the idea of training me because he wanted to get to know me better that made me so much more excited to get to work in two days.

I went out to the car where my mom was waiting for me, I had the biggest smile on my face she knew what that meant. the only thing she didn't know was I think I had a crush, I wasn't going to tell her though because that would be bad so I just told her I got the job and that we have to go home as soon as possible because I wanted to share the news.

We hurried home and I burst through the front door and jumped on my dads lap, I scared him really badly, I yelled with happiness "I got the job" he got a large dad size smile on his face and he hugged me with pride because I did something on my own.

After I shared the happiness with my family I bolted across the street to the blue house, without knocking I ran inside and I saw his dad sitting on the couch in the living room he didn't mind that I just entered the house because I was like family to them, I sat on the couch next to him and told him that I got the job at Paul's Donut Shop.

He was also proud of me then right after I told his dad Elijah came down the stairs and saw me in his living room and asked me with a smile on his face, did you get the job? I answered with a bigger smile on my face "yes" I ran over to him and jumped he caught me in the air and gave a a hug and said congratulations.
