~Your POV~

You followed Dan through his flat into his and Phil's recording room. Wow. This setup was a lot more extensive than yours. Which wasn't saying much since all your setup consisted of was your cell phone and your Tiny Box Tim plushie as a stand.
Dan led you over to the computer and gestured for you to sit in one of the chairs. Of course there were two. This was Dan and Phil's recording room. Everything was doubled.
"So...what do I do?" you asked cluelessly while taking the proffered seat.
"Well, I'm gonna go. I got a lot of other...stuff...to do." Manda said mysteriously. She gave you two thumbs up when Dan turned his back on you both to move the other chair closer to the screen. Then she left. Great.
"And...she's gone." you thought to yourself. How would you get through this without making a complete fool of yourself.
Dan started the computer and motioned for you to look at the screen.
"Let's begin." he said with a professor-like voice.

~time skip cause I don't know how to edit~

You gasped in astonishment as Dan played back the video you'd been practicing on for hours.
"Did I edit that?" you asked confounded.
"Yep. And you did a great job, too. You're a natural at this. All you needed was a little guidance." Dan congratulated.
"Wow. Thank you so much for your help. You've been extremely nice to me when you didn't have to be." you replied with all the gratitude you felt written on your face.

~Dan's POV~

You sucked in a breath as Y/N looked up at you with such thankfulness and admiration. You felt the awkward before it even left your mouth.
"Well it was either do this or watch a nature documentary on how ducks breed." you said. And immediately regretted, until she did the one thing you least expected, she played along.
"You passed that up to help me? I'm so sorry you had to sacrifice seeing that to teach a noob how to edit." she replied with mock sincerity.
"Yeah, I know, but I live by a code. With great power comes great responsibility. In this case my duty was to share my amazing knowledge with you, the ignorant damsel." you replied pulling your fist up to your shoulder in the classic 'hero' pose.
Y/N started giggling. "No, but seriously. Thanks for your help. I was kind of nervous that I would prove how little I know during the lesson and fail miserably like everything else I do."
"You say you were nervous? I was just hoping I wouldn't embarrass myself. I'm horrible at communicating with people I don't know. I always make the whole thing awkward." you admit with a guilty grin.
"I'm the same way. Except it doesn't stop with people I don't know. All my friends get scared when I join a conversation. It's almost a garantee that I'll say something stupid and make everyone uncomfortable." she stated turning her chair so she faced you.
"Huh. I guess we have a common enemy." you leaned back in your seat and sighed dramatically.
"Yeah, the outside world. As long as I'm inside and on the internet, nothing goes wrong. The second I try to go out and pretend to be a normal person, I strike out on the first pitch." she imitated your sigh. You both looked at each other then burst into laughter.

~Your POV~

"You hungry?" Dan asked.
"A bit, I guess. I'll probably go raid Manda's fridge at her flat. She won't mind." you informed him shrugging.
"Oh no, you won't." said a voice from behind you. "You'll be eating right here with us."
You spun around to see Phil in the doorway. When did he get here? Or had he been here the whole time? It didn't really matter, but you kinda wanted to know.
"Were you here while I was editing?" you asked curiously.
"Yeah." he responded. "I was in my room trying to find a new Halloween recipe for our baking video."
"What about a green pumpkin pie? Oh wait, you guys don't have a lot of luck with green food coloring." you smiled at the face Phil made at you.
"Don't open up old wounds. I'm still healing from that catastrophe." Phil moaned.
"Sorry. I had to, but seriously, make some mini pumpkin pies and decorate them all spooky. You could even dye some of them if you wanted to. It might work out better cause orange is a lighter color than brown." you stood up and stretched. You had been sitting in that chair for a long time.
"That actually sounds cool." Dan said nodding.
"Okay then. Now I just need a pumpkin pie recipe." Phil stated sounding relieved. "I've been looking for an idea for hours. I should have just come down here sooner. Would've saved me a whole lot of time."
"Live and learn." you stated decidedly. "So I guess I'll go."
You started to gather your purse and head out of the room, but Phil blocked your way.
"No way. If Manda found out we let you leave without making sure you ate something, she would never forgive us. You are the only one who can save our friendship." Phil begged.
You looked at him with a 'are you seriously going there' look. He just stared at you like a lost puppy.
"Fine." you sighed trying to sound as inconvenienced as you could. They both just laughed and ushered you into the kitchen.
"Hey." Dan said suddenly. "What if we filmed a cooking video with Y/N?"
"Yeah! That sounds awesome." Phil agreed. "What do you say, Y/N, that okay with you?"

A/N

I couldn't find anything on Dan and Phil's new flat. So unless you guys know of any information somewhere about it, I'll be guessing what to write about it. So warning, anything said about their flat may or may not be true. I don't know.
Hey I just want to shout out to my friend, CringeALot, who has started her own story. She's an awesome writer, you should really check her out. She is a big help to me when I get writer's block and she inspired me start and keep writing this story. So, big thanks to her. >•<
