Might be another sad one, whoop. A little based on actual Austin & Ally just sped up a bit.
*Also the song up there is the audio because the music video doesn't use the full song.
"Hey, Pete! Check this out!" Brendon said as he rushed to the drums. He began playing. "You should play something!"
"Nah, there's literally a 'Don't Play The Instruments' sign, Bren."
"Awe, come on, It's okay."
"Fine."
So I proceeded to play around with the drums Brendon just did.
"Hey!"
Shit.
"There are rules, you know!"
Wow, shocker. 'I told you.' I mouthed to Brendon. He just shrugged.
"No playing-"
"The instruments, I know. There's a sign."
"Then why didn't you read it earlier, smartypants? You have to pay for those."
Double shit.
"Um, okay but I can play good."
Wow, great save, Pete.
"That doesn't matter."
"Uh, yeah it does."
Then Brendon barges in. "He can play anything here. He is a musical genius."
The girl gave me a look. "Whatever. You can go."
'YES!'
"But, you have to actually buy something before you do."
"Fine."
"I'll take this guitar pick."
"Picks are free."
"Oh okay. Um then we'll take this uh harmonica!"
I looked at Brendon in confusion. "What would you need a harmonica for?"
"I mean I always wanted one."
"Fine."
I payed for Brendon's harmonica.
We went out a bit until Brendon left me. So, I came secretly back to the music store.
'Hey what's upstairs?' I wondered. I went upstairs out of curiosity. I found a girl in a yellow dress playing piano while singing. She sounds good.
"Hey, are you writing a song?" I said as I came up to the girl sitting on the piano. The same girl that yelled at us.
She screamed at me.
"Um, yea. Kinda, sorta. Why?" she said, panicking.
"It's pretty good. Maybe you should make it a little more upbeat."
"What?" she asked, starting to calm a bit.
"Yea."
I looked at her lyrics. "Oh, that's cool."
"Thanks."
"I can't ever write like that."
"Weren't you the one messing up my music store earlier with your weird tall friend?"
"Uh...yea, why?"
"I don't know, I just thought you'd be very good in music."
"Well I can play a bit but I'm not so good at writing lyrics, you see."
"Right. You can try, you know? Write about what you feel and such."
"Really?"
She nodded. "I can help you."
"Oh, cool. Bu-"
Suddenly another girl came rushing into the room.
"(Y/N)! I need help with something!"
"Oh, Sarah, I'm on it. Bye, uh..."
"Pete."
"Right, Pete."
She rushed out. "Wait, I didn't catch your name!"
"(Y/N)!" she answered from way far from the room.
Since then we spent all summer together. Me, Brendon, (Y/N) and Sarah. The Fearsome Foursome.
We wrote songs together, made videos together and went on adventures. Most importantly, we made memories.
'Write about what you feel and such.'
A Month Later
Then school started.
(Y/N). I remember her. I know she goes to my school and school started a week ago but I haven't seen her anywhere. She is far smarter than me so she might be in way different classes than mine.
"Hey, why are you standing in the hallway? You should be running to class."
"(Y/N)..."
"Yeah, hi."
"Hi."
The bell rang. 'Say something, Pete!'
"Gotta go, bye!"
"Bye."
And there she goes. Again.
I rushed to Spanish just to discover Mrs. Gomez is sick (actual name of the Spanish teacher in the series, oKAY) so I decided to space out. I thought of her again. I could've said anything.
Anything.
'I like your songs.'
or
'I wanna hang out again.'
or even
'I think about you a lot.'
But I didn't. Because I'm an idiot.
I never see her at school, or after school. I didn't want to disturb her working at her music store.
A Few Months Later
I'm in a band now. I write the lyrics and everyone seem to love our songs. We've released a few songs. We're going on tour in a month.
Now. Now, we're waiting for the announcement of who's going to win best song of the year.
"And the winner is...Fall Out Boy!"
Me and my band immediately got up then began to quickly go up stage to accept the award. I had to do a speech, as band leader.
"Hi. So um, this is amazing, actually. I was quite hoping My Chem or some other artist won. Thank you so much. A very, very special thank you for my friend (Y/N) for helping me write songs, more specifically taught me how to write songs. Thanks. And I hope you get over your stage fright. Good night, everyone."
The audience gave a round of applause.
Thanks, (Y/N), I think about you a lot.
'Did you cry, Adam?'
i dunno was that sad? it doesn't seem sad.
