Chase Davenport x Reader: The Truth

Bree's POV:

Time skip to after school at the Daven-House...

Adam, Chase, Leo, Y/n, and I walked into our living room. Tasha is in the kitchen while Eddy is throwing insults at her. "Hey Tasha, we're home" I say. "Hey sweetie! Who's your friend?" Tasha asks. "Oh. This is y/n, she's new" Bree says. "I can tell... she's talking to Chase" Mr Davenport says as he walks in. Chase glares at everyone as we laugh. 

"Anyway. I was wondering if y/n can stay with us. Her home life is really bad" I say to Mr Davenport. "Bree come here" he says. I swear if this about the bionics! "I'll be back in a minute. Try not to fall asleep listening to Chase" I say. 

"What?" I ask. "Bree you can't just bring strangers in here. We don't want another Marcus incident." Mr Davenport says. "But Mr Davenport, she's being treated like a slave!" I say. "Please. Just for a few days and if she makes more of a mess than Leo she can leave. Please just give her a chance" I beg. "Okay. But she better not Leo this up" Mr Davenport says.

Your POV:

Chase is talking to me about some science hypothesis while Bree is talking to Mr Davenport. It does get a little boring but I can tell his siblings beat him up enough about being smart so I pretend to listen, but honestly, all I can think about is how cute Chase is when he's excited. 

Bree comes out. "So?" I ask. I'm not expecting anything, I don't want to get my hopes up because whenever I do, I always end up disappointed. "Mr Davenport said that you can stay here on a sort of trial run for a few days." Bree says. "Oh thank you!" I say hugging Bree. Mr. Davenport walks out. "Thank you so much Mr. Davenport. You have no idea how much this means to me! You are such an inspiration to me!" I say. "Of course I am!" Mr Davenport says. "Hey! Don't feed his ego!" Chase says. I laugh. 

"I'm gonna call my aunt and tell her." I say. Chase and Bree come outside with me while I call my aunt. "Hello?" I ask. "Y/n. Where are you? Come home right now!" My aunt says. "Actually I'm staying with some friends for a while" I say. "I didn't agree to that. Who's gonna make me food. And clean my house? And who would want to be friends with you?!" She asks. Bree takes my phone from my hands. "Listen. Y/n is staying with us. You can't do anything about it. And you cannot treat her that way. Clean your own house" Bree says. "Thank you" I mouth to Bree. "Who was that?! I'll teach them a lesson!" My aunt says. Chase then takes my phone. "Don't mess with my family and don't mess with my friend. Y/n is amazing. Just because you treat her like trash it doesn't mean that's what she is. Here she'll be out of your reach and you can't hurt her!" Chase says and hangs up. "Wow. Thank you Chase..." I say shocked. 

"I'm sorry I had second thoughts about you living here. I just didn't know it was so rough for you" He says. "It's okay. I understand." I say.

Chase's POV:

I feel so bad for y/n. She had to put up with that for almost her entire life. But that's over now. I'll do anything I can to keep y/n away from her aunt and safe. I feel this need to protect her but I have no idea what it is. Y/n, Bree and I walk back inside. 

"Is everything okay?" Leo asks. "Yeah. I'm pretty sure y/n's aunt won't be much trouble anymore." Bree says. "Y/n if you're going to be living with us, there's something you need to know. You need to know the truth." I say. "The truth about what?" She asks. "Us..." I say. 

We all go down to the Lab and we explain everything about our bionics, about Marcus, how Douglas is really our father. "So, Mr Davenport is your uncle and you guys have bionic super powers?" Y/n asks looking at us. "Well not all of us. I don't!" Leo says angrily. 

"Dude that's... Awesome!" Y/n says. "Really? I was expecting a different reaction like... like..." Adam says searching for words. "Like wanting to send us into space with a monkey!" Adam says excitedly. "Um..." y/n says confused. "Don't worry. He loves monkeys" Bree says.

Bree's POV:

Y/n knows about our bionics now. "Well let me help you get your room set up" I say. Y/n and I walk out of the Lab.
