Your POV: 

Time skip to the next Monday

Adam, Bree, Chase, Leo and I were sitting in the cafeteria at lunch. "Okay, Heads up, stay away from Principal Perry" Bree says. "trust me, that's the first thing I tell myself every morning when I wake up" Leo says. "Really? The first thing I tell myself is 'shaving cream only looks like food'" Adam says and I laugh a little. 

Over the past few days I've laid off trying to make Chase jealous... I mean if I don't like him then why should I want to make him jealous? 

"Adam, what are you doing? why do you keep making faces like you're taking a selfie?" Bree asked him. He pointed over to a table a couple tables away from us, "Cuz that girl Sabrina's been checking me out" He says. I look over at her. "She's coming over" I say. Adam stands up. 

"hey Sabrina" He says. "I saw you staring at me" He continues. She laughs. "Actually I was looking at Chase" She says. EXCUSE ME?! Anger boils inside me. "Ohh! A sense of humor, I like it!" Adam says. "Chase, I wanted to talk to you about the Chemistry project" She says. I look up and swallow my food. "What?" I say. She looks at me and then back at Chase. 

"Sure, I'll do it for you, just give me your email. I'll send it to you when I'm done" Chase says. "Well I actually wanted to do it with you as partners?" She asks. Chase chokes on the water he was drinking. Every looks around, shocked. "Um, yeah... sorry Sabrina, I'm Chase's partner" I say through a fake smile. "Y/n, a girl is finally taking an interest in Chase. Don't blow this for him" Leo whispers. "I have an interest in Chase" I snap back in a whisper. 

I didn't even realize what I said. "What? No I don't" I say. "Y/n, do you think I could work with Sabrina on this one?" Chase asks. "Yeah, sure. You don't have to ask my permission. I mean it's not like I was looking forward to it or anything" I say sarcastically. "Great!" He says and walks off with Sabrina. Adam pours ice down his shirt and shivers. Bree, Leo, and I look at each other confusedly. "What'd you do that for?!" Leo asks. 

"I'm trying to wake myself up. If a girl likes Chase over me, this has to be a nightmare" Adam says. Bree and Leo get up and go to class. "You know for the smartest guy in the world, he's really not that bright" I say looking over at Sabrina laughing at a joke Chase made. "How does she like Chase over me?" He asks. "Adam... I have an idea. Sabrina's coming over later, Chase has no idea how to be around girls." I say grinning. "We can sabotage it" Adam says catching on. 

Time Skip to after school 

 "Okay, they're downstairs working on their project. We go in now" I say getting up off my bed as Adam stands up. "Okay. Let's do this" He says quietly. 

We start walking downstairs and I see Chase and Sabrina sitting next to each other. "Okay, yeah I can't do this" I say and start to walk back up the stairs. "Nope. We're doing this!" Adam says picking me up and putting me down on the landing. "I can't believe how fast you're putting this molecule together" Sabrina says. "I can't believe you're still here!" Chase says with a grin on his face. 

"You know what I like about you? Besides being charming and funny" Sabrina says. I clench my fists. "Well it would have to be something else, cuz he's neither of those" Adam says, smiling. "You're nice, polite, and even though you're bionic, you don't feel the need to impress me with your muscles" Sabrina says. I scoff. "Probably because he doesn't have any" Adam says. "Good one" I say. 

"Will you excuse me?" Chase asks. Adam, Chase and I walk over to the kitchen. "Would you give it up?" Chase asks in a low whisper. "She likes me, not you. Ha! And you said I would never get a girl" He says. "Well if you just payed attention" I mumbled. "This doesn't make any sense. She is way out of your league. She should like me! Okay? I gave her my selfie face! Girls can't resist this" Adam says and makes a selfie face. "I completely agree" I say. 

Chase looks at me with a look that said clear as day 'really?' "Well, she just did, cuz she likes me. Not you, me!" Chase says gesturing to Sabrina and walks back over to her. "Gahh!" I whisper-yell and then punch a cabinet. "Owwww!" I say clutching my fist. "Hey, sorry about Adam. Now how about we get back to our atom" Chase says to Sabrina. Sabrina laughs at Chase's joke, and then so does Adam to act like he gets it. "I don't get it" Adam says. Sabrina and Chase laugh at Adam. OH. MY. GOD. IM GOING TO KILL HER. Adam and I go down to the lab.
