*Third POV*

Stiles wakes up to the bright light of the morning sun shining through his window. Stiles groans tiredly, not wanting to wake up yet. He shifts his position on the bed for a few minutes, trying to fall back to sleep, but after some moments, Stiles realizes that no matter how comfortable he gets, he isn't going to fall asleep again. Stiles eventually sits up in bed with a loud groan while stretching his long limbs, throwing his covers off him, the phoenix then tries to rub the tiredness from his eyes. It is in this moment that Stiles remembers what he wants to do today. He wants to rush over to Scott's house as soon as possible to check up on him.

Stiles slowly walks towards the bathroom and brushes his teeth, deciding not to worry about breakfast. He's not hungry. Besides, Scott is way more important to him than just some meal. Once he has finished, Stiles walks back into his room and searches for something to wear today. He's probably going to get his clothes somehow ruined when he trains with Deaton, so he chooses a simple plain grey t-shirt and some old jeans he's willing to sacrifice. Stiles really doesn't understand why all of his clothes have to pay the price for him training, but it's not something he can really help. Stiles just thinks that his own powers hate him and try to set him up for failure. One instance of this was when he tried to use his water powers to splash Scott, but ended up drenching himself. Stiles shakes his head at the thought and continues to get dressed.

Once he is all ready to go, Stiles grabs the few things he needs before he races out of the house and towards his jeep. He notices that his dad's car is gone, so Stiles assumes that he must be at work. Stiles jumps into the jeep and quickly starts the engine. He pulls out of the driveway and starts driving towards Scott's house. Stiles quickly turns on the radio, not wanting to drive in silence. He turns it on to a station that he likes and starts nodding his head in time with the music, drumming his fingers with the rhythm of the song and humming the lyrics quietly. Humming is always a great way to pretend to know all the lyrics when really you only know a few words.

Eventually, Stiles arrives at the front of Scott's house, parking on the side of the road. Stiles glances at the time. It's 7:30am. Stiles wonders if Scott will even be up at this time, Stiles remembers reading somewhere that werewolves are nocturnal creatures. Not that Scott has really proven that fact to Stiles, but he will find out soon anyway. Stiles also notices that Melissa's car is gone, so she must be on an early shift at the hospital. Stiles gets out of the car and starts walking up to the house. He's about to take out his key to the house when he notices Scott's bedroom window is open. Stiles smiles mischievously, wanting to have some fun. It might be on the second story, but Stiles can easily jump that high. He has done it at his own house plenty of times.

Stiles backs up a little, wanting to get a run up. Once he feels like he is close enough, Stiles jumps as high as he can, using all the strength that he has to propel himself up into the air. Stiles manages to grip onto the window sill of Scott's room without making too much noise. Stiles then scrambles his way up and tumbles through the window and onto the bedroom floor with a soft thump. Stiles quickly scrambles to his feet and looks around to see that Scott isn't in fact in his room. Stiles frowns a little in disappointment. He kind of wanted to surprise Scott, but the biggest element of surprise is gone now. Stiles glances around the room for a moment, just taking it in. Stiles notices that it seems to be messier than usual, smellier than usual. Stiles frowns even more when he looks at the bed sheets. He walks over to them and his breathing hitches slightly when he sees the thin and long claw marks that have torn through the bed covers and sheets. Even the pillows look a little bit worse for wear. All of this just makes Stiles feel even more concerned about Scott. His apparent nightmares must be getting worse if they are causing Scott to lose control of the shift. Stiles grabs the pillow and presses it to his nose, inhaling deeply. Stiles is overwhelmed by the scents of anxiety, sadness and terror. Stiles drops the pillow in shock. That's it. Stiles needs to find Scott now.
