MEMEL!!!! That's the name I was trying to remember for Kalipėda last chapter (or two chapters ago)

I'm on the train to Gdańsk and LET ME TELL YOU the Prussian history nerd in me is ecstatic (so is the WWII history nerd and the Cold War history nerd) but oh boy oh boy oh boy

Oh also in light of recent events in the United States: if you have any sympathy for those who took part in the Unite the Right rally in Virginia then unfollow me right now. Freedom of speech and assembly should not extend to people waving confederate flags and swastikas chanting "last stop: Auschwitz" and "blood and soil" who ended up hurting so many people and KILLING SOMEONE seriously I'm furious. (Also I was only physically 30 miles away from Auschwitz when I heard about it and I'm very Jewish, very queer, and pretty damn communist. So that shook me up. It was surreal. But now it's less so and I'm just pissed.)
So seriously. This isn't about "hate from both sides" or whatever the fuck trump said. This is about actual fucking Nazis and members of the KKK beating people and killing people and scaring the crap out of all of us. So yeah. Fuck off if you would even think to defend those terrible people in any way. I'm dead serious.

Wow that took a way more serious turn than I intended, I just wanted to correct a mistake I made in an earlier chapter. Also Poland is ridiculously beautiful.

Not sorry though, this is incredibly important. If you willingly remain silent in times of injustice then you are choosing the side of the oppressor.

SO! In the wise words of the Dead Kennedys: NAZI PUNKS FUCK OFF!
