THE slayer smiled grimly as his prey's blood started to spread on the soft ground below her wound. It had started to rain, which caused the scent of blood to smell stronger than ever, as he beckoned his assistant to help him carry the body to the forest, making sure that her friends don't see him in Ulani's room with a bloodied dagger wrapped between his hands. He tied a sturdy knot on the bars and slid down. His assistant was already pulling the arms of the dead body with him. He looked up, washing his face with the cold rain; ravens cawed in the distance as they hid themselves in the trees.

"Make sure her body is hidden, and that her friends won't find her tomorrow." His master grumbled. After checking that her body is fully shadowed, they left leaving no evidence once again as the rain would hopefully wash the blood away.

In the morning, Ben's voice bounced back from the walls, causing everyone to whinge. The front door swiftly opened and Toxic stumbled through, his hair caked with wet sand and his arms full of different bags. Ben studied him and asked casually,

"Where did you go?" Toxic placed the items on the small table and hiked up the staircase without uttering a single word. Ben furrowed his eyebrows as Derek woke up, stretching and yawning. He called the others again to get out of their beds to have breakfast. Xena was the first one up, closely followed by Josh. They were grinning from ear to ear as they elbowed and shoved each other playfully; Ben served them and peeked at the stairway to see Ulani looking perplexed as she helped JD down the even steps. He was limping, but there couldn't be something bad that happened. Stepping into the living room from the office with a warm 'Good morning', Simon smiled merrily; he engaged Xena, Derek, JD and Josh into a conversation about how wonderful Ben's place was at the dining table, Toxic joined them after he washed his hair. As JD changed the subject, Ulani furiously interrupted them.

"Where is Wendie." A demand and she wanted the answer, fast. They replied, getting worried by each second. Every answer was different than the last one: Wendie feeling unwell; Wendie still asleep; Wendie locking herself in her room. Ulani was not convinced that her lover would ignore her, it was true that her door was locked yet it remained sealed when Ulani called and knocked on her door. They told her not to worry so she sat down and slowly ate the delicious food that Ben carefully placed down in front. Xena wanted to have a nice walk afterwards, Ulani and Seth saying that they would accompany her. As the sand wrapped against their ankles, soft and comfortable, the sun blazed whilst darkness backed away from the scorching rays. They took their time wandering about till they had to return, Seth jogging and yelling in the lead. He suddenly stopped and with his great eyesight, Seth regarded the entrance to the forest suspiciously. He nudged Ulani and Xena, who were laughing and chuckling, and pointed towards the thing, unsure of what it was. It was pastel-white, five thin fingers at the end.

"Seth, get Ben to check Wendie's room... If it doesn't budge, tell him to knock it down...Please..." Ulani breathe, her voice breaking. Seth nodded, his eyes starting to shine with tears that threatening to spill down his cheek, and dashed up the stony track. Ulani waved Xena over to haul the body to the dazzling light though Xena hesitated. Crash. The deafening sound of the splintered door shattered the silence, giving the two females a bit of confidence. Ulani shrieked then wailed as Xena inspected the form, her face draining out of colour. Her dull eyes to her blood splattered clothes and her broken body,. Ulani's heart was crushed seeing her once-alive lover. She couldn't speak as her tears flowed continuously from her dead eyes. A piece of her heart had perished along with the failed heart of Wendie. Whatever happened to her, she would want Ulani to punish her killer mercilessly. It wasn't fair that she died just after her friends accepting their relationship. It just wasn't! Wait till find him! Ulani thought bitterly. The others sprinted towards the two, questions flying at of their mouths as Xena held a hand to stop them. Ben was the most worried as he searched Wendie's broken form. His voice was tight when he turned towards them,

"All of her bones are shattered. It looks like she fell from the balcony. Please don't say that you lot had did it on purpose." Everyone appeared shocked as none of them would betray their friends. Toxic opened his mouth but Ben cut him off, "It doesn't matter now, we must find the person doing all of this or we are all dead." Seth bit his lip as Derek fidgeted with a loose piece of thread. JD cried out as he found a square of paper underneath Wendie's boy. The message was crossed out and it felt wet to the touch. It says:

~Four staff is now dead, who would be next to die? I know what you are thinking right now. You won't be able to find me anyways. Try to find me, you'll find another one dead...~
