CHAPTER 3 (CAY’S POV)
Today was a school day so Taylor had left early in the morning to head over to Kyo’s just like every other day for the past ten years. I felt a little sick when I though about all the time I had lost with Kyo just because I didn’t want to man up but now things were about to change. I knew that my little sister and Kyo were like robots after school, everything was planned right down to the last minute, they would come here to the house where they would rummage through the fridge and eat whatever for about 5 minutes then they would go upstairs to Taylors room for about an hour and a half doing as much homework as possible (little geeks) then they would veg out in front of the TV watching CSI or some film for one of their classes and then fall asleep. Kyo always slept in Taylor’s room on the first day of school; it was a thing that had started so long ago that I honestly couldn’t remember a time when the boy wasn’t there. Although, he wasn’t a boy anymore, I felt my body heat up slightly at the thought of him in my mouth, good god he most definitely was not a boy anymore, he was all man.
Just as I was thinking of heading upstairs for a very cold shower I heard the front door close, my head rose sharply to look at the clock and I was surprised to see that it was already 4’o’clock. School finished at 3.30pm and it seems like they walked back if it had taken them half an hour to get home.
“Hey Cay”
I nodded at my sister and bit into an apple whilst surreptitiously glancing over her shoulder
“If you’re looking for Kyo he already headed upstairs, apparently he wasn’t hungry”
I looked over at my sister to see her head buried in the fridge, judging by the sound of her voice she was no more convinced than I was about Kyo not being hungry. He was always hungry.
“Bad day?”
I watched my sister carefully and noticed she froze for a microsecond before she turned around, about four different jars of different flavoured jam in her arms, she was always experimenting.
“Nah, he’s been kind of off for a while now, I think its girls problems, but he won’t tell me”
She was full on pouting now and I couldn’t help but laugh at how weird it was to see her pout, Taylor just didn’t do that. Although it was very unusual for Kyo to keep something from her so I guess her pouting was for a good reason. Then what she said struck home and I stared at her for a second before asking the question I was dying to know the answer to
“Bad problems or good problems?”
Taylor knew immediately what I meant. Kyo was a very good looking guy and more than once he had earned himself a stalker...a real live stalker. Sometimes it was just plain funny, other times it was terrifying
“I think he likes her”
I promptly choked on my beer, Kyo wasn’t in a relationship at the moment, that much I knew, and I also knew that Kyo wouldn’t hide something as little as someone he liked from Taylor. This means she was talking about me
“Why do you say that?”
I had to be careful here, my sister was very smart and she was already incredibly suspicious of my interest in Kyo, in fact I’d go as far as saying she knew about my feelings for him
“You know Kyo; he’s never really liked anyone. Sure he’s dated but I think it was just for the experience of dating. He’s never pursued anyone and honestly he’s never really thought of anyone in a sexual manner, that’s just how he is. There was one point in his life where I thought he would become a freaking priest”
