Listen to yourself,
Calling yourself 'ugly',
Calling yourself 'weak',
Or calling yourself 'worthless',
Hear your lies.
Look at yourself,
Believing what they say,
After you swore not to,
Starving yourself,
After you swore to not let them get to you.
What they say is wrong,
You are beautiful,
You are strong,
You are worth something,
Society needs to change not you.
They tried to break me too,
Tried to put me down,
And for awhile I believed what they said,
But then...
I opened my eyes,
Maybe I don't fit society's rules,
Maybe I'm different,
But just maybe it's a good different.
I listened to my friends,
Moved past my fears and doubts,
Saw that I didn't need to change,
That the world's views did,
I am perfect just the way I am.
