Chapter 4
By Friday, Scarlett was completely paranoid. Who knew when that spirit was going to show up? She walked down the school hall, slowly. Then she ran to the nearest bathroom. She put her bag on the counter and looked at herself in the mirror. Same pale face, same black hair. Scarlett sighed. She hated the fact that she looked so....normal.
All of a sudden, the bathroom door swung open. In walked Hailey Gray, Scarlett's not-so-nice enemy. Hailey looked Scarlett up and down then scoffed.
"Well, well. If it isn't the goth freak." Hailey laughed.
Scarlett just rolled her eyes and turned back to the mirror to apply her new dark eyeliner. She heard Hailey laugh again.
"No amount of makeup will make that ugly face look any better." She smirked.
Scarlett gritted her teeth and clenched her fists. She absolutely hated Hailey Gray. Inside AND out! Scarlett hated it when Hailey made fun of her. And she wasn't going to take it anymore. Scarlett whipped around and paused for dramatic effect. Then, she let it out.
"You know what, Hailey? I am sick and tired of you making fun of me. It ends here. You only make fun of me because your insecure. And also because your just a down right bitch. So why don't you walk out of here while you still have some dignity left. Or i'll shove this boot up your ass." Scarlett pointed to her combat boot.
There was silence. Then without making any fuss, Hailey walked out of the bathroom. Scarlett felt thrilled. She never talked to Hailey Gray like that.
"And thats why you do not mess with Scarlett Castro." Scarlett whispered to herself, smiling.
After Scarlett was done applying her makeup she turned on her heel. But she stopped short. Her eyes widened and she held her breath.
The spirit boy was standing right in front of her, smiling.
