John:I have come to the conclusion that I fucking hate British people. Yeah, their accents are freaking hot but they are just annoying.
Not only that, I have a feeling that the college put George King in the same dorm as me based on us having the same sexuality. But let me tell you this; no one wants to walk in on two British men having sex on your bed.
~Flash back~
I unlock the door to my dorm, thinking over the conversation Alex and I had about classes, and freeze in my tracks when I realise moaning is coming from in there.
I open the off white door only to find out exactly where the moaning noises were being emitted from.
"Fuck, George, that feels good!"
"Call me King, Sammy!"
"Y-yes my King!"
"ARGH!" I scream, shielding my eyes, and realizing that they were on my bed. "Get off my bed!" I yell. They don't, I quickly check. I run out of the room, and having slammed the door, get a few weird stares from people around me.
I shrug and pull out my phone, calling the first contact that appears on the screen.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Alexander..."
~End of Flash back~
So here I am, in a room with Alex, Burr, Jefferson and Madison. If tension is a rope, then this rope is one little snap away from breaking in two, and it doesn't help that two men are jumping up and down on it on opposite ends.
Simply watching Alex and Jefferson arguing about politics is enough to set anyone on edge, and they won't calm down. I roll my eyes. As I look down for a minute to check my phone, Jefferson says slyly to Alexander:
"Well I think Trump is a good choice for a president. He has good ideals and we don't need anymore illegal immigrants coming into the country and taking up spaces in work places and education, do we Alexander?"
"You do realise that you're black, don't you? Trump is racist. And by the way, I'm legal to study in this country so shut the fuck up!"
Alex literally screams at Jefferson but he just laughs."You sure about that? You match every criteria and I say if the shoe fits, wear it."
He sits back and crosses his arms, sneakily high fiving James. I'm about to step in but Alex gets there before me.
"Hey, turn around, bend over, I'll show where my shoes fits!" He spits, swinging for Jefferson.
In that moment, the rope snaps, leaving the remaining three of us to stop them fighting each other. "Alex! Alex!" I yell dragging him to his feet, trying to pull him away.
I succeed, managing to push him behind me. Jefferson wipes some blood off of his lips. "You are not getting away with this!" He snarls.
"Come on, we're leaving," I said opening the door and shoving Alex out of it. We leave Burr and Madison trying to calm Jefferson down.
Maybe we should go back to the coffee shop... I could really use some caffeine right now...
Shit! The coffee shop! I was meant to go for an interview yesterday!
"Alex, we got to go to the coffee shop now!"
Alex:
"Why are we here?" I grumble, glaring at John. Fucking Jefferson thinks he's it but he's not. He really isn't. I want to punch his face in... maybe not. I don't want them to revoke my scholarship.
John was frantically pacing, waiting for someone to come to the counter when a young girl approaches us. "Hey can I get you... You! You were meant to be here yesterday for an interview and you stood me up!"
"I'm so sorry, Theodosia, I completely forgot. That's why I'm here. Is the job still open?" John pleads and the girl's eyes soften.
"Another boy took it. Aaron Burr? Yeah, he goes to the college too," She smiles gently and I hear John mutter, "That son of a..."
"Hang on, I think there's another vacancy for a waiter, you want it?" She says quickly, noticing John's face fall. He nods quickly. "When do I start?"
"Tomorrow, six till nine, every week day. On Saturdays, it's nine in the morning to one in the afternoon and we don't open on Sundays. Is that okay?"
"How much do I get paid?"
"$169 a week. It's not a lot of fun, but there is no one willing to do it. So I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Yeah, see you," he says and we walk out the shop.
"What now?" I ask, rubbing my arms in the cool evening breeze.
He turns to me and smirks. "How about a visit to the Schuyler sisters?"
About fifteen minutes later we arrive at their door, knocking and waiting for an answer.
"Come in!" Yells a high pitched voice whose face is revealed quickly after John pushes the door open. Three girls crowd around a TV, food in their hands and all of them staring up at us.
"John? What are you doing here?"
"Just thought I'd spend some time with my childhood friends," he laughs and they smile too.
"Come sit down, we're watching Legally Blonde- whoa, who's that cutie?" Says the girl dressed in pink, looking me up and down.
"Alexander Hamilton," I wave and she smiles. "You're the new guy! Nice to finally meet you. Here's some space next to me," She moves up and I look at John who nods at me. "So, who are you?" I ask as I plop down beside her. "My name is Angelica Schuyler."
"Elizabeth Schuyler," a girl in blue whispers and I turn to the third girl.
"And Peggy!" She shouts and I smile. She's like an enthusiastic puppy, it's adorable.
"I have an idea! John, call the gang around, let's play truth or dare. You know, to introduce Alexander here to all of the group."
John smirks and calls a few people, me all the while watching the TV screen.
"Is this a movie? Seems pretty far fetched," I note and Angelica stares at me. "That's the whole point of a movie! Have you never watched one?"
I shake my head. "I grew up in the Caribbean. We were poor and couldn't afford a television." I shrug, turns my attention back to the white girl on the screen. Stupid movie... why can't I turn away from it?
