Kat stopped and stared at Sera, letting out the loudest, "What?!"

"You heard me. The Serial Street Shooter," she said, jogging to catch up with Leo.

"Leo, why are you running?" Kat asked.

Leo suddenly stopped, turned around slowly, and pointed behind them with wide eyes.

Katrina quickly turned, but wore a frown when she saw that nothing was there.

"Leo, stop joking. Why were you actually running?" Kat demanded, irritated.

"On the count of three, run towards the town," Sera whispered.

Leo nodded his head, while Katrina looked around, confused.

                "What? Why?" she questioned.

"Just do it!" Sera answered frantically, "One, two, three!"

Gunshots came from the road, and the trio ran for their lives. Both Leo and Kat yelled in panic.

                "Leo! Duck!" Seraphina shouted.

Just as she predicted, a bullet flew towards Leonardo's head, but missed by a few inches.

Although it was almost inaudible, they could hear Leo muttering, "I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die."

"Everyone stay calm. Everything will-" Sera got cut off with another bullet. This time, it hit her right leg, just above the knee.

"Sera!" Leo screamed, dropping to the ground to help his friend.

Before Kat could get to her, Sera interrupted them, whisper-yelling, "Run towards the clock."

Leo rushed towards the digital clock. Kat hesitated, concerned, then bolted in the same direction as Leo.

On the other hand, the killer approached Sera with a threatening look on his face. With a terrifying smirk, the man pointed the gun towards her head.

Sera returned the smirk, making the murderer confused.

                "Got any last words?"

Struggling, Sera stood up and responded.

"I've always wanted to know what goes on in a mind like yours."

"Define 'yours'," he said still holding his smirk.

"Well, you know, a psychopath's mind. I mean, how dumb can you guys get? Did you ever stop to think where my friends went?" Seraphina retorted.

On cue, Katrina quickly pressed the blue button that had brought them to this troubled place.

A blur of colors overtook the dark landscape. Before they knew it, they had reappeared back inside of Katrina's house.

We tried this chapter was better than the last one, as that one was really short. We hope you enjoy, and we will post again soon. Bye!
