We stared at each other for a moment, which gave me a chance to look at him. He looked different than usual, less glam. Although somehow he was still stunning.

He scratched the back of his neck, obviously nervous. I sat there on the floor, waiting for him to speak and feeling dancer Yugyeom retreat into school Yugyeom.

"You're a really good dancer." He said. Dancer Yugyeom halted himself, sensing the compliment.

"Thank you." I replied and smiled at him.

"So uh, I've been watching you dance in here after school for a couple of days." He said, not meeting my eyes.

"So I've seen." I said, amused by his nervousness. "Why are you so nervous?" I asked. Normal me would never talk to someone this much, but I obviously wasn't myself in that moment.

"I just- you're such a great dancer, Yugyeom. When I see you dance, it takes my breath away. I can tear my eyes away from you."

I blinked at his words, a little surprised. No one had ever spoken to me about my dancing with such passion.

We were silent for a few more moments, him looking everywhere but at me and me looking straight at him. After some thought, I spoke.

"Want to stay and watch?" I asked him. I knew that I would probably regret it later but for now I didn't care. Letting someone see this raw side of me was a little daunting, but I ignored the voice in my head telling me to take my words back.

"Wait, you mean sit in here and watch you dance?" He asked, eyes wide.

"Yeah. I'm in here everyday after school, so come whenever you want." I answered.

A huge smile broke out on his face as he finally met my eyes. "I'd love that."

He spent the rest of practice that day watching me, silent the entire time. It was almost like he wasn't there.

The next day at school we made brief eye contact in Civics, but I turned away before he could approach me. I was the same towards him during school as I always was, quiet and uncaring.

As I walked towards the cafeteria during lunch, Jinyoung surprised me by trying to jump on my back. I quickly turned to face him, trying my hardest not to smile.

"What was that for?" I asked.

"Just cause." He replied shortly and slung an arm over my shoulder. I looked at him weirdly, not used to the skinship.

"Did you finally get a girlfriend?" I asked.

"What? No." He said.

"Boyfriend?"

"No Yug, why are you asking?" He said.

"You're being weird, that's all. You never touch me this much."

He sighed and took his arm from around me. "I guess I'm just in a good mood." I felt bad for stopping him so I grabbed his arm and put it back around me. He tried to hide it but I could see his smile. We continued our walk to the lunchroom, where for once we actually interacted with each other.

-

I opened the door to the dance studio to find that BamBam was already there, sitting against the mirror with his bookbag next to him. He looked up from his phone when he saw me and lifted a hand in a wave. I waved back and set my bag down, then plugged up my phone per usual.

I wasn't very focused today, so I opted to just play music for a bit. I turned on Zico and G.Soul's "Anti", then slightly bopped along to it while walking into the middle of the room and laying down on the floor.

I stared up at the ceiling, my mind blank, BamBam completely forgotten.

"So do you do this often?" BamBam spoke. I sat upright, a bit embarrassed that I had done that in front of him.

"No, not really. I'm just not very focused on dancing today. You can leave if you want, there won't be much to watch." I said, my side facing him.

"Well then why don't we just talk? I don't feel like going home yet." He said and sighed. I turned my body to face him and crossed my legs.

"What about?" I asked.

"We could get to know each other better." He said and met my eyes, then held my gaze.

Why not? There's not much to me anyways.

"Okay. You start." I said and leaned back on my hands.

"Okay. My name is BamBam, I'm Thai, I like to draw, and I like watching you dance."

"I'm Kim Yugyeom, I love to dance, I'm Korean, and I don't talk to people much."

"Nice to meet you, Yugyeom." He said and stuck his hand out. I chuckled and brought my hand to meet his.

"And it's nice to meet you too, BamBam." We let go of each other's hands. He sat back against the mirror and I laid back down. After a few moments a question came to mind.

"Don't Thai people have their real name and then a nickname that they always go by?" I asked and turned to him, propping my head up on my hand.

"Yeah. I'm surprised you know that." He said and smiled.

"So what's your real name?"

"Kunpimook Bhuwakul." He said.

"Camping what?" I tried to repeat his name and failed.

"It's pronounced 'kanpeemook boowacool.'" He said whilst laughing at my butchered pronunciation.

"Hey, don't laugh! You're such a meanie!" I said and lightly slapped his knee, then pouted. Surprisingly I felt really comfortable with BamBam, and Jinyoung was the only other person I could interact with like this.

He just laughed harder at me and fell over, which in turn made me laugh. We were both a laughing mess, but it felt good. I was enjoying myself. Before I knew it the sun had gone down and it was time for us to go home. I was a bit sad that we had to end our time together, but I knew that there was always tomorrow after school.
