Ch. 8: X?

River's POV

Why was he running away? Did he really mean all those things. I keep looking at him run further and further... Who called him.. ?

Brent: "YOU HAVE TO RUN! PLEASE DON'T RUN AFTER ME!"

I look at him, tears forming in my eyes. He honestly understood me and now he's leaving? What happened? Why couldn't he take me with him.. I deciede to run after him.. I know what he said, I know it's not good. I had to keep hiden so I can see what's going on.. Is that his voice? I run a little faster, picking up a pace not to fast that my shoes make that swish noise and not to slow that my shoes make that thump noise.

Unknown voice: "Who the frick was that girl? Do you understand how much trouble you almost caused?!

I stood there listening, that figuire sounded like a girl I knew.. She sounds really stern and angry at Brent..

Brent: "I don't know her.."

I just hear those words from hear, and I start to collaspe. I start running away from that location faster and faster, he hears me and pushes that girl away from her.

Brent: "RIVER! PLEASE COME BACK.. NO I.. CAN EXPLAIN."

I keep running faster and faster as I his voice. It upsets me so much, I feel so hurt by this.. I can't believe he lied to that girl about me. I just want to go home and stop worrying about him. I had all these feelings for him and now there all crushed.. Urgh! I'm going to try calling one of them to bring me home.. Wait.. No I can't . I need to call someone besided Chrissy and Carter. Tries dialing Matthew.

-waits for him to pick up-

Matthew: "River.. I wanted to talk to you ear(gco)

"Um. Can you pick me up.."

Matthew: "Wait. What? From where?"

"I kind of across the street from your apartment.. Brent was walking with me.."

Matthew: "Wait, Brent isn't supposed to be with you.. How the heck did you find him?"

"He saved me, from this gunshot.."

Matthew: "WHAT?! YOU COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. I'll be there in a few.. God!

-phone ends-

What the frick was all that.. Urgh! Gets a text message "unknown": How cute, you and Brent.. Never going to happen.. >:). I'm sorry, was that to mean? I'm going to break you if you and Brent are hanging out.. Goodluck sweetheart! Stay away from my man -X I hear the branch snaps behind me. What the..? Who is this? A car suddenly honks at me, "MATTHEW! HELP ME." I didn't think that was Matthew, it seemed like a figuire, it was coming toward me! The figuire was charging toward me, I start running faster and faster, all of a sudden I hear a loud boom and everything is black.

Matthew's POV

URgh, why is my sister with Brent? He cause enough trouble for the whole group. He fricking cheated on a girl, who was perfectly fine to be honest. I didn't understand why he left her.. Her name was: Allison. She was very cheerful and sweet. One day Brent decieded to be a jerk and break up for her, for no aparrent reason. She started to get all angry, she kept sending us threat notes and everything. Brent never told us exactly why he wanted to get away from Allison. I mean I would date her, she was so pretty. They had this huge fight.. It scared the frick out of me. I see her around a lot, she just stares at us for a long time and you don't stare at her back she just fricking comes at you, with that evil grin. I start to pull up where River said she was standing, I see a bunch of emergency cars huddled around that area. I go and talk to one of the police officers. The officer had a badge that said Patty, she had red hair in a ponytail.

"Excuse me, what happened? Why is it blocked, can I get in? I need to pick up my sister."

Police officer: "Is she tall, think, blonde curly hair?"

I nodd, at what the officer said. The officer looked very sorry for me, she finally answered.

Police officer: "Your sister was in a car accident, we sent her to the hostipal, did you know what happened?"

Tears start forming into her eyes, I shouldn't have left her.. This all my fault, I need to call Carter and tell him everything.

-dials and waits for him to pick up-

Carter: "Hey, we were looking for you everywhere. Chrissy has been worrying sick for River..How are you guys? *in the background you can hear Chrissy screaming*

"Dude, bad news."

Carter: "What.." -his voice slowly lowers into a sad tone-

"River got into a accident.. No one knows what happened to her. She called me to come pick her up. On the phone she sounded really sad and hurt. I didn't know what was going on, she said something about Brent and her hanging out and and stuff.. I don't know what happened..

Carter: *his voice cracks, hears him crying* W-w-what.. She..? IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT.. What the heck made you think that she can go in the public on her own? This just makes us worse and worse.. What came into your head bro?! I still have a lot of feelings even though what I did was a huge mistake.

I listen to him, his tone of voice was so serious. I can tell he was super hurt and tears were going down his face. Chrissy stopped screaming and jumping up and down. It was dead silent for a minute, all I can hear was Carter snuffling. I take a few breaths and then speak.

"I know.. It's all my fault, I know I shouldn't have left the apartment. I know I should have kept her safe. But I need you to calm down.. Please take my car and go to the hostipal, I'll meet you there, okay? My keys are under the rug where I put my key. Tell Chrissy to calm down and stuff.

Carter is still sobbing his eyes out, talking to Chrissy. I hear them just plain dead silent. His voice was all cracked

Carter: "O-o-okay.. Thanks bro. Your the best."

-phone call ends-

I take Catt's car to the hostipal, I hope she doesn't mind. Speaking about her let me call her:

-dials Catt-

Catt: "Hey.. I'm a little busy.. I know what happened. You don't have to tell me.. It's alright. I'm actually right behind you.

"What the?!"

Turns around, there standing Catt really sad. I wonder why she was so depressed. How the frick did she know what happened?

Catt: "Don't even ask." -tosses car keys toward him- I have them.

I look at her, and rummage throught my pocket. Her keys really weren't in my pocket, how the heck did she have it?

"Umm.. How and when and what is going on?"

She looked at me and back at the incident.

Catt: "You should leave, take my car." -she smiles at me-

She kind of acted like how Allison would, but in a such sweeter way. What happend? Why was she acting weird? I decied to take her car and leave.
