The night before had shaken Miranda, to the extent that she slept the rest of the night on the couch. She woke up to the sound of her phone ringing; it was Mackenzie. "Hey! I'm so glad you called!" She had to tell someone and Mackenzie was the only one who wouldn't find her insane. "What's up?" She heard through the phone. "Uh..." She didn't know what to say. She couldn't just say, 'my parents moved my bedroom into the attic and there is a ghost man up there with me.' At least not with her parents within earshot. "Meet me by the lake at noon." She then hung up the phone and ran upstairs to get dressed. She stopped when she remembered the man who had made his home in here. "Ok whoever is in here has to leave so I can get dressed! Understand?" She stood there for a moment before she heard something whisper "yes." In her ear. She quickly got dressed, making sure no one was around first then headed to the lake.

She had practically ran to the lake. Trying to run away from the feeling of the cold breath in her ear. She had reached the lake in 5 minutes, normally it would take 10-15 minutes. Needless to say, she was startled. So startled that when Mackenzie arrived she was shaking and white like she saw a- never mind. "Miranda! What happened?" She jumped when she heard Mackenzie speak even though she was right in front of her, she didn't notice. "Attic, bedroom, tapping, dresser, shadow man, whisper, help!" She then collapsed onto Mackenzie from both shock and fear
