Catching glimpses often
Looking through his eyes
Purely adoration in glances
Seeing the stars in the night sky
The beauty of nature around
All I saw was only
Cobalt blue eyes in mirrors
Twinkling eyes with humor
Strong hands holding
An adorable little princess
Sitting in my bed every night
Saying a silent prayer
Wishing my dreams would come true
Wishing every single second of pain
Would turn into everlasting happiness.
Tears prickled through my eyes
Silently making their way down my cheeks
Strength slowly fading
Being awoken by recurring nightmares
I knew I was being drained by the past.
Days flew by
Smiles flew by
Happiness flew by
People went on
And I was left alone
I never knew the day would come
That I will once e happy
That I will giggle at the mention of his name
That I would smile because of his presence
I knelt before my mom's grave
Silence fills the air
Sobbing takes the rhythm
Pain aching in my chest
I knew death was after me
I was awoken by blue eyes
The voice inside me was optimistic
Then I knew, I still got strength in me
That was the day I met
My dream boy
