"Look at them..." A dark and mysterious voice roared in the distant space, "All of them... The whole galaxy... Life is a miserable existence..." The voice appeared to be talking to himself, "Full of love... Full of hate... An endless repeating circle of good and evil... They will all soon know what it feels like to be dead and forgotten... Like myself..."
The dark figure remained afloat, watching the galaxy before him. There isn't much detail to be described about this being, besides the fact he is made of pure darkness; pitch black and transparent, with a dark blurry aura surrounding him.
"Love is always broken..." He said silently to himself, "Love is never meant to remain, for it only ends in tragedy. Every relationship is the same. Two fall in love with one another, and one shall perish in the near future due to age or a physical act, thus the heart-breaking separation is upon us as a result." he folded his arms and frowned, "Fall in love and live in misery... Live at all and fall in love... Life is a trap..."
Floating deeper into space, he had a mission. His mission was to find the center of the galaxy; the source that keeps everything in balance through heat and gravity. Without it, the whole galaxy will be thrown off balance and nothing will be able to survive. The sun.
"I've returned from the dead for this purpose... To destroy the sun, and put an end to life's misery so nobody shall feel the horrid pain of love's end."
......
Meanwhile on planet Mobius."Cosmo..." A cry was heard dwelling in the home of a young fox, "Why did you have to leave me..." the young fox sobbed, "It's not fair... You never should have died... We were supposed to live together..."
This young fox, Miles Prower, whom was also referred to as Tails, has suffered the trap of life that the dark figure has spoken of. The broken-heart from the death of his beloved. Cosmo.
Leaving his home and standing on the water's edge of the beach near his house, he stood there to weep at the setting sun in the distance. He had the strange urge to chase the sun over the horizon before it disappeared so it wouldn't leave him, like Cosmo did... Unable to follow the sun over the sea, he watched as it sank into the ocean in the distance, rendering the scenery into darkness. It felt empty being so dark; just like his empty broken heart.
In his fist he held onto something dear to him. Something that belonged to Cosmo. When she died, she left behind a seed... He held the seed in his fist close to his chest as his tears continued to spill into the beach's sand beneath his feet. This was the only thing he had left of her, and he cherished it as if it was her.
Hours have passed into the night, and Tails hadn't moved from that spot. Which way was he going to go now, he wondered... If he goes back to bed, he'll just dream about the same thing again. About Cosmo's death. If he stayed awake he would just think about the same thing as in his dreams. No matter where he went, he was doomed with these nightmares day and night.
Looking above in the dark starlit sky, there was something different. At first it looked like a black cloud hovering over him, although this cloud was descending from the sky. Slowly floating lower and lower, this black cloudy figure disappeared in the surface of the sea.
"What was that...?" Tails wondered. The ears of the curious fox perked as he eyed where this cloud vanished in the water. He stared for quite some time before he could see the figure again, floating on the surface of the water like a shadow toward him. As it got closer, Tails backed away from the water's edge. Not knowing what this figure was, he was a bit scared about what it might be, and why it was going in his direction. As the shadowy cloud made its way to the shore, it slipped onto the sand in the same form as it was in the water, like a shadow with an odd blur. The blurry shadow stopped in front of Tails and slowly spiraled in its place.
Tails stared at the shadow unsure about the situation. This was very unpredictable to him; he had no idea what this figure could be.
"H-hello?" Tails tried talking to it. The response was delayed, but he did hear something coming from the shadow in the sand.
"I sense an ill heart..."
Tails didn't exactly know what the figure meant. He backed away from it, still uneasy with this strange shadow.
"Who or what are you...?" Tails demanded with a hint of fear in his voice. The shadow did not respond to Tails' question, it slithered closer to him in the sand. With Tails' fear rising, he backed away from it quicker.
"S-stay away from me..." he whimpered.
"I need a vessel with an empty, broken heart so that I can unleash my destruction..." the shadowy figure in the sand exclaimed, "I need... your vessel..."
"D-destruction?" Tails was really scared now, and he turned the other way and attempted to run away from the shadow, but it proved to be quicker and caught up to him almost immediately. Once the shadow made contact under Tails' feet, he collapsed to the ground on his hands and knees, screaming in agony. So many things were rushing through his thoughts as the shadow dissolved into Tails' body. A black, cold aura surrounded Tails as he screamed for help. Nobody was there to hear his cry, nobody was there to save him.Moments have passed and Tails was lying motionless in the sand, the aura slowly sinking into his body. Once the aura had disappeared, he curled up and shivered.
"S-so... c-cold..."
Whimpering, Tails slowly tried to stand up, but he only made it to his knees and he remained shivering with his arms wrapped around his body trying to keep himself warm.
"W-what's... h-happening to me...?" he asked himself under his shivery voice. Not long has passed before Tails completely stopped breathing, and he collapsed back into the sand once again motionless. A smirk upon his face, and a sinister chuckle escaping his throat, he slowly rose back up onto his feet.
"Hahahaha... I live..."
