Taismo- dark angel :: chapter 4

"Which way is he?" Sonic wondered, holding Cosmo's seed in his hand.
"Keep going, Sonic." Cosmo's voice whispered, "I can sense that he is nearing the sun already."
"When I get you to him, what will you do?" Sonic asked.
Cosmo took a pause before she answered, "When my seed is in his hand, Tails' soul will be replaced with Dark Oak's, and Tails will have his body back."
"Huh? Well, how are you gonna do that?"
"The only thing that can defeat the dark is the light." Cosmo explained, "I am an angel of light, and Dark Oak is an angel of dark. Once my seed is in his hand I will be able to battle his soul out of Tails' body."
Sonic nodded and looked ahead, "Alright, Cosmo. Let's catch up to that creep!" with that, he dashed off toward the sun.

"The galaxy will soon be a dark space with no life to exist..." Dark Oak muttered to himself in his deep breath as he hovered toward the sun in a high velocity, "That hedgehog, Sonic... He'll return soon..."
"Sooner than you think..." He heard Sonic's voice coming from behind him. He stopped and turned to face the hedgehog.
"Ah, I was expecting you." Dark Oak muttered, "The hero of the galaxy, if I recall... Yes, I remember, you are the hedgehog that struck me while Cosmo had me mobilized..."
"I'm not the hero of the galaxy." Sonic confessed with an angry tone, "Tails is!" with that, he held a nice grip on Cosmo's seed as he spun in the air, and released, throwing the seed at Dark Oak as hard as he could, "Catch this!"
"Huh?" Before Dark Oak could react, the seed collided with his chest. He quickly grasped the seed with his hand, and in an instant there was a large flash of light. He winced and struggled, but he somehow felt paralyzed.
"I-I'm being... forced out of this body..." he growled trying to resist. He then heard an angelic voice echoing from the seed...

"Get out of Tails' body..." Cosmo warned him.
"That... voice..." Dark Oak growled, "I remember... You... Cosmo, you!! You are the one!! You held me in place so that I could be destroyed!!"
"And I'd do it again..." Cosmo boasted, "Get out!!"
"This is my body!!" Dark Oak claimed.
"This body, belongs to Tails!!" As Cosmo hollered, the seed in his hand suddenly shattered, and his body began to glow.

Dark Oak kept fighting the light, but he was then separated from Tails' body with a burst of light. His dark shadowy spirit kicked back away from Tails' body, his glowing red eyes flaring with anger.

Tails' body floated there, the light soaking into his body, his eyes weakly closed. A tear rolling down his cheek, a voice squeaked from his mouth, "Cosmo..."
Dark Oak's shadowy soul floated there watching Tails regain his rightful ownership of his body. Tails opened his eyes, a frown upon his face directed at Dark Oak, and tears streaming down his face.

"Tails..." Sonic was in awe, "You're back..."
"Sonic..." Tails said in a weak voice, "You have to go now... Leave me..."
"T...Tails?" Sonic stuttered, "I'm not leaving you, Tails! I'm fighting by your side!"
"No..." Tails murmured, "This fight's for me... If you try to fight him, you will fail, and you will die..."
"Tails..."

Tails closed his eyes, and whispers of Cosmo's voice were heard surrounding them. Nothing that she whispered could be made out clear enough to understand what she was saying. Suddenly, two angelic wings sprouted from Tails' back. His entire body was glowing and had a bright white tint all over it. His eyes were a very bright blue. Sonic watched in awe during his transformation, until it was complete.

"I'm begging you, Sonic." Tails pleaded silently, "Fly away, and don't look back."
"Tails..." Sonic whimpered, "What happened to you? What're you going to do?"
Tails closed his eyes smiling and holding his heart, "Cosmo has given me her power to stop Dark Oak... I am pure light; I'm an angel..."
"An angel?" Sonic asked. Tails replied with a nod.

"Tails..." Cosmo's whisper echoed, "I'm with you."
"Cosmo..." Tails whimpered.
"If we don't stop Dark Oak now, life will no longer exist..."
Tails nodded and hovered closer to Dark Oak, then stopped to face him from a distance. Face to face, Tails and Dark Oak floated glaring into each other's frowning eyes.

"Tonight the galaxy will witness its darkest sunset..." Dark Oak boasted.
"Sorry... I'm not going to let that happen..." Tails promised.
