Society kills

Eddy stood in front of a mirror, getting ready for school. He kept thinking about the thing he was planning on doing, he was thinking how he could begin. He hated the thought of people talking behind his back, and of course people are. The gossips, rumours and all that kind of things found he hard to deal with. He was known to be hard to deal with but the thing he cared about the most was his family, even though he hadn't exactly showed his parents that this past year. He thought that they blamed him for Peter's suicide. He just hated seeing them sad. He couldn't face them. Suddenly he opened the door and walked to his parents and hugged them.

"I love you guys! I'm sorry I have been distant this past year... I'll be home for dinner!" Said Eddy as he took his backpack and walked out.

"What was that?" Asked Mary surprised and looked at Luke. 

Luke was just as surprised as Mary. "I don't know... At least he'll be at dinner and maybe he'll talk with us!" Replied Luke.

"Hopefully!" Responded Mary. 

Eddy came happier than normally to his friends. He took around Amanda's waist and kissed her. 

"Hey guys!" He said. "Amanda's stomach is so thin" he thought to himself. He felt that Amanda felt uncomfortable when he took around her waist.

"Hey, Eddy!" Felix said and they did their secret handshake.

"The guys are so weird!" Said Emily with a smirk as she looked at Amanda.

"No shit!" Responded Amanda as they both laughed.

"C'mon, it's bro-mance!" Said Felix and smiled.

"Speaking of that, I was thinking about something that I need your help with!" Eddy said.

"What's that?" Asked Felix.

"Peter's death... The way he died... I want to prevent that! At least try, I was thinking about naming it Fuck Society! I want to raise awareness for suicide, some kind of suicide prevention. Suicide is the third leading cause of death of kids from age ten to fourteen years old kids and the second leading cause of death of people from age fifteen to thirty-four year olds! Something has to change and we can start that change if we just try! We'll never know if we won't try! And even if this won't work, we tried. And in my opinion that's just as good as success!" Said Eddy.

"Of course we'll help but how do you plan on getting this started?" Asked Emily.

"I don't know... A campaign, a website and all kinds of stuff. We'll raise money for it! We can just start by doing this in this town and the next one. It's the generation of social media, we should be able to do something!" Replied Eddy.

"Okay buddy, but how are you. I mean what are you going to do?" Asked Felix.

"Like I said, raise awareness. I don't know, just let people know signs and look out for the people they care about... I just want to do something to cope with Peter's death... Because I couldn't save him..." 

Amanda looked at Eddy and saw he was feeling low. "Okay, let's get started after school!" Responded Amanda as she looked at Felix and Emily with a determined look. 

"Okay..." Said Emily and looked at Amanda then Eddy. 

"Are you guys sure you want to help me?" Asked Eddy as he looked down.

"Of course Eddy, you're our best bud... We'd do anything for ya'!" Said Felix. Eddy smiled and took a cigarette out of his jacket and offered them one, Felix and Amanda took one and they lighted the cigarettes. Emily didn't want one. She usually did but not this time, they didn't think about it.
