So begins 2009, the day Horatio begins grade 4. It started out as a good day. Marg took him to drop Aaron off at day care, was jamming along to Michael Jackson in car on the way to school. It was when he got to school that he knew it wasn't gonna stay a good day. It started with his desk. Some shithead had set off fart bombs inside his desk, so when he opened it the smell went everywhere. Next was at snack. He went into his bag as usual to grab his lunchbox and went to go sit in the little corner of the garden he usually sat it. He was really looking forward to his snack. His mum had given him homemade nachos. You can guess his outrage when he opened it up to find worms, snails and compost instead of nachos. He was angry but he set its aside as he washed his lunchbox out. He got back to class after break and all the students said as he walked in, "hey look here comes snail boy!!", "here comes fart boy who lives down stinky lane". That made him snap.
He walked up to the nearest kid, Tomo was his name and he slammed his face into his desk which broke his nose. Jesse came at him to stop him from hitting Tomo more, Horatio kicked him in the stomach and slammed his knee into his face. All the kids backed away from him that day. Although they didn't really have a choice as the principle sent him home. Greg was not happy. He got a call from the school saying Horatio was involved in a fight and Greg had to come pick him up. In the car all the way home Greg was shouting at him. Calling him names. Horatio had had enough of Greg's shit and yelled back. This resulted in Greg driving down a side street and beating the crap out of Horatio until he was unconscious.
Horatio woke up to Aaron's babbling on the floor beside his bed. He pick Aaron up cuddled him. He then carried Aaron out to the lounge room where he found their mother having an argument with Greg. Horatio quickly walked back to his room and put cartoons on the tv for Aaron. Marg had kicked Greg out of the house for the night and ordered Horatio and herself pizza for dinner.
