Being a kid in high school is hard enough. Feeling like you just don't belong, or fit in. You feel like there's just not something right with you, but for Noah it goes much deeper. Noah is a FTM, or Female to Male transgender. Some girls don't exactly find that a turn on, especially since he's too young to get the full surgery, and his dad isn't exactly on board with it. He's pretty much given up on finding a girl who will just give him a chance to prove himself.

He's not even sure what he would do if he met a girl he liked. She'd probably avoid him when she found out. He just wants a girl to look past who he was on the outside and just see that he is a loving person who could treat her right. He knows he could prove it if just one girl gave him the chance he needed, but in his school you need to look good to get that chance. Personality isn't important around here. It's not fair, but that's just how it works.
