Rachel's eyes shot open as the landline rang loudly throughout the 2 bedroom apartment. Her hands ran over her face, a loud groan escaping through her lips.

With a heavy sigh, she shot up to the side of her bed. She slowly walked into the kitchen. Her fingers tugged at her shorts, as she answered the call. Looking at the clock on the oven, Rachel ran a hand through her light brown hair. Who would be calling at 3:30 a.m?

"Marie? This is Dr. Manket. I know you, and Sophie just got done with your shift 2 hours ago, but there's been an emergency, and we need you both to come in right away."

A yawn left her mouth. "Sure, Doc. We'll be there soon," she says, stretching her limbs out.

Doctor Manket mumbles something to someone on his side of the line. "You're a lifesaver M," he replies with a sigh of relief. A small laugh is given, as she rubs a hand over her blue eyes.

"I know. We'll see you soon."

Hanging up, Rachel starts walking to "Sophie's" room. She opens the door, not bothering to try and be quiet. Then she walks over to Jade's bed and gently nudged her.

"Wake up, loser." With no response, Rachel nudges her again. Jade groans, scrunching her eyebrows together.

"What do you want?" She mumbled unhappily. One thing anyone should know is that Jade likes her sleep. She hates being woken up, especially when she's sleep deprived.

"There's an emergency at the hospital. We've been called in." She groans once again. Rachel watches as Jade turns her body away from her. She pulls the covers over her head, as soon as the hall light was turned on. Rachel rolled her eyes and left the room.

It wasn't long until Midnight Kiss by Propellers started playing. Rachel turned the volume up louder, and walked to the bathroom. She quickly fishtailed her curly hair, and applied enough makeup to cover tiredness.

Rachel finished up in the bathroom, then walked back to Jade's room. She raised her eyebrow, leaning against the door frame. A sigh slipped through her lips. She shook her head at Jade for still laying in bed. A pillow covered her head completely as she tried desperately to fall back to sleep. Rachel went back into the living room, and turned the music up louder, smiling as she did so. At the moment, she could care less about the neighbors next door.

Unexpectedly, Jade felt a dip in her bed. She started swaying back and forth. When she looked at what Rachel was doing, she saw how Rachel was almost jumping up and down on her bed.

"So darling c'mon! If you don't sort out yourself, it'll go so wrong! You're singing songs that have been underground for far too long," Rachel sang loudly at her. "So get up," Rachel yelled. "We leave in 10!" She threw Jade's blankets onto the floor. Jade curled into a ball, refusing to let that stop her. Before Rachel left, she turned the lights on.

"Okay, fine! I'm up," Jade angrily said, swinging her feet to the side of her mattress.

Jade and Rachel didn't take long to dress. They both put on scrubs, Rachel's grey, and Jade's black. Jade puts on her shoes as Rachel grabs the keys to her vehicle.

No words were exchanged until they were both in the parking garage.

"Are we going to stop for coffee and food?" Jade tiredly asks. Rachel slightly smiles, shaking her head.

"There'll be donuts and coffee there." Jade rolls her hazel eyes, knowing how horrible the doughnuts are there. The coffee is at least tolerable.

"Fine," she mumbles, looking out at the other vehicles.

They both enter Rachel's shiny black Camaro. Minutes later they arrived at the Hospital. Both girls got out, and started walking to the entrance.

As they got closer to the tall building, a high pitched tone of sirens grew louder. Two ambulances, and a few police cars pulled into the emergency entrance. They are followed by a dozen News channel vans. Rachel and Jade look at each other confused. This must be the emergency, Jade thinks to herself. They proceeded to enter the building, paying no attention to the crowd gathering.

They run into the receptionist, Diana. She sat at her desk organizing two new files.

"Hey D." Rachel sighs tiredly. She looked up at the both of us surprised. The bags under her eyes are growing darker each day. Her red hair, as always, is pulled into a ponytail.

"What are you two doing back? You guys just got off two hours ago," she exclaims. The two women watch as Diana takes a drink from her overly sweet coffee.

"We got called in. Doc said it was an emergency," Rachel says, leaning against the counter. Jade rolls her eyes. Diana looked at them with wide eyes.

"Speaking of emergencies, what's that all about?" Jade pointed to a tv screen in the corner of the lobby. It was on a news channel that appeared to be live right outside of the hospital.

"You didn't hear?" Diana questioned, shocked. Jade and Rachel exchange a confused glance, then shook their heads at her.

"5 Seconds of Summer were just arrested! Two of them have been injured pretty badly." In the corner of Rachel's eye, she sees Jade make a weird face.

5 Seconds of Summer also known as "5SOS" are one of the most powerful gangs. They cause mayhem in the streets of not only Los Angeles, but any other place in the world. Rachel and Jade have been on their case for a couple months now. The only thing they had on them was their crimes. They had possible locations, ideas of where they might be holding their organization, but nothing was certain.

Rachel shakes her head, grabbing Jade and taking her to the employee lounge. They sign in again.

"Oh good! You made it." Doctor Manket approached them with two small files. He handed it to the two agents, who then took a quick look at the information.

"As you've probably heard, two members of 5SOS have been arrested. They are both in critical condition, and need the best of the best. So I am assigning you ladies to them. Plus they are on your case." He took a deep breath, burying his hands in his lab coat.

The secret of Rachel and Jade being undercover is only known by a few people. Doctor Manket being one of them.

"I also think this will help you ladies grow more in this medicine field. But, I cannot stress this enough, be careful. You're familiar with them already, but you don't know everything. Always be on guard, and good luck."

He walked off towards the operating rooms. They opened the folder in their hands. Both were shocked by the location of their patients. Rachel's eyes widen. Their patients had the whole seventh floor to themselves, with their rooms at each end of the hall.

"Let's go to work," Jade says, shutting her file.

They stepped into the elevator, and headed to the floor. As soon as they heard a beep, the doors opened. Both women went to their separate rooms.

Rachel walked in with other doctors surrounding the patient. She rushed over to his side, calmly asking questions, and slipping on some gloves.

"Is he breathing?" She grabs a light from her pocket, shining it in his eyes.

"No signs of breathing, we're going to have to give him a tracheostomy," Rachel tells a nurse.

The patient starts breathing as soon as the hole was made. Rachel sighs out of relief, taking off the gloves.

She opened her assigned file, hoping for more information on him.
