When you catch Lexa by surprise by telling her you love her.
"Thank you for coming. I know it's... hard for you." Lexa stated, voice cracking, turning towards the door.
"And I understand if you don't want to see me. I broke your trust by telling Clarke you were here, and I'm sorry." The sight of her brown curls heading towards your door made your heart lurch.
"Lexa, wait!" You cried. She turned, eyes wide at the sudden outburst. You hadn't spoken in two weeks. Ever since you and Clarke had fought viciously over Finn's death, you had fled to Polis. To Lexa. Your girlfriend had been confused but pleased when she'd entered her room to find you asleep in her bed. She had been so surprised by your appearance that she hadn't thought twice about telling your cousin Clarke you were there when she asked Lexa via a radio.
"Lexa." You repeated. Her attention was squarely on you now. Slowly, then all at once you ran to her and stopped, leaving a foot of space between you. You grabbed her hands. She stared at the contact in wonder. "I love you." Her head jerked back up in surprise. You had said it back. Granted, two weeks later, but you did.
"Ai hod yu in." She whispered back, pulling you in for a kiss. Her soft lips moved against yours, and she held the back of your neck and tilted her head to switch sides. When you came up for air, you leaned against her.
"I need to clear things up with Clarke. Can I see the radio?" Lexa agreed swiftly, leading you down through the tower, lacing her fingers through yours.
