Sorry, I've been inactive. Lately, I had family over and lots of school/work related stuff. I got a new job/quit my old one and my last minute summer reading stuff for all my ap courses are making me want to die (in a cool way). Here's a nice little filler until I find a way to finish all my essays and books in like 2 days lol.

Grace has been different since we came home from our trip. Almost as if she was purposefully distancing herself. Also, she's been having lots of mood swings and such that have just come to my attention recently.

Sometimes she was happy and energetic, sometimes she was paranoid, and sometimes she treated me as I was just another stranger she had been hired to protect.

Talking to her was like trying to dismantle a ticking bomb, one wrong move and it explodes.

We've been spending time together as usual, but she somehow managed to cut our time short by making up excuses to abandon our alone time.

I understand that we are both busy, especially her with everything going on, but why is she acting like this now?

Is it because of the promise ring or because I confessed my love to her? It can't be because of those things, right?

She hasn't brought up any of those things and continued wearing the diamond ring on her finger whenever we were together. I feel awful whenever I see her wearing it; it's almost as if she's wearing it out of pity.

"Harry, are you okay?" Grace waved her ring clad hand in front of my face as she looked up from her laptop. I nodded before going around the island to see what she's up to.

She shut the screen immediately before I could witness what she was up to and smiled at me. She got up and wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me in for a short kiss.

"I really like you," She admitted as she stared into my eyes and held a small smile. I managed to smile at her; I gently gripped her chin between my fingers before slowly breathing out.

"I really like you too."

I really love you too...

"I'm going to the bathroom real quick, okay?" She broke away from me before heading out of the kitchen and rushing up the stairs.

I stood still for a second before my eyes darted back the laptop on the marble surface and grabbed it. I opened the screen, realizing I had no idea what her password was.

"Come on," I typed in multiple guesses, but still nothing. I thought of one last far fetched guess, thinking it wouldn't work but it was worth a try.

"Of course," I laughed to myself and shook my head as I unlocked her laptop. Her password was obvious, how did I not try it earlier?

The page loaded and I read over the information before releasing a shaky exhale and shutting my eye. I closed the screen when I heard Grace rushing down the stairs. She came back in, slightly out of breath as she grabbed her laptop and placed it inside of her bag.
