Are we.......?

((A/N: This is just a reminder that this whole chapter won't be in Evie's POV until the end of the chapter. It will switch POV's throughout the chapter. Its to get everyone's reaction to what happened to Evie. It will circle back around to Doug don't worry, plus this is a couple minutes after Evie passed out from the poison.))

Doug's POV

Everyone was quiet when Fairy Godmother walked into the infirmy with her wand. I was sitting next to Evie holding her hand, trying to do anything for her to wake up.

"Bippity boppity boo." FG waves her wand, nothing happens. I break down again, "Evie please you have to wake up for me. I can't live without you. You are my light, my sunshine, my everything please." I whisper softly crying softly into her chest. I can't lose my princess, my queen, the mother to my unborn child, my everything.

Jay's POV

Seeing Doug like this helped me see that he cares so much for Evie, probably even more then I do.

Evie is like my sister. She's always been someone I can talk to, she helped me see my feelings for Lonnie, when I couldn't. She's someone special in all of our hearts. Having her be like this helped us all realize how much we really take her for granted sometimes.

Doug is taking this the hardest because I'm convinced that if it wasn't for Evie, he probably would still be a complete chemistry nerd and only have his cousins for friends. I can tell how much Evie really means to him, he really won't be the same without her, none of us would. That's why Doug needs to wake her up. He needs to try true loves kiss. It might just wake up my surrogate sister.

Mal's POV

"E come on please wake up. I can't do Aurdan without you." I look up at the ceiling, I never believed in a God, but right now he's all I have to help try and get my sister back. If you can hear me in my mind here, please let her be okay. Please let her wake up. None of us could function without her. Evie is important to everyone here in some way. She helps Chad with chemistry, she helps Audrey pick out outfits. Jane with her confidence, Carlos with his confidence with Jane. Jay with not trying to hit everyone he disagrees with, Ben with his king stuff if he's over worked she helps him with the king stuff, I help him distress, nevermind that. She helps Lonnie with telling the guys we are equal as females, she helps Doug feel love and happiness. She helps me by helping me through the nightmares from the isle, helps me with my homework if I have a question, helps me with my bed hair in the morning, helps me understand what family feels like and what friendship feels like. If anyone should be spared it should be Evie.

I look at Doug who began crying again after FG's wand didn't wake her up. This is fair it shouldn't be Evie laying on the bed it should be me. "Evie you need to wake up for me." I was crying and Mal don't cry very often, God this is how much Evie means to me, please let her wake up.

Lonnie's POV

Mal was crying, she almost never cries. Evie needs to wake up. This isn't good, this isn't fair. Who would want to do this to Evie. I mean I'd get if they did it to Chad, but Evie. Who's sick joke is this. When I find out I'm going to make them pay for this. Who ever you are, I'm watching you. And I will get you for this.

Carlos' POV

When I noticed FG's spell didn't work, that's when I got seriously worried. This must be a pretty serious poison if Fairy Godmother couldn't wake her up. Why Evie though. She was one of the nicest VK's from the group, she didn't deserve this. Doug was crying into her chest, I've never seen the dude do that. He was taking this pretty hard. Jay looked like he was about to cry, he always thought of Evie like a sister, so did I. We were family, and no one messes with this family. Mal was crying, Mal never cries, holy shit this just became more real. Jane was curled into my chest, she was probably crying into it, but I didn't care. My eyes never left Evie's face, I was looking for any sign of movement. My hands were rubbing Jane's back trying to comfort her in a way. Evie always helped me with what to do in these things. This wasn't something I was used to.

Chad's POV (A/N: who would've thought, but hey he's got something to say on this matter)

Why Evie, she was one of the smartest girls here. She didn't deserve this, who would do something like this to her, because if it was a joke, I'm not laughing, no one here is. Even after me being an ass to her on family day, by calling her a gold digger, she still gave up time in her day to help me in chemistry, because that's the type of person she is. She doesn't deserve this, she needs to wake up. Just wake up Evie, everyone here needs you.

Audrey's POV

Who's sick twisted joke is this. We aren't laughing here. Evie needs to wake up because none of us here would be able to go on without her. She is the reason that most if the VK's and AK's don't kill each other.

Jane's POV

My head was in Carlos' chest because I couldn't look at Evie just laying there like she was dead or something. This isn't right, someone here needs to fix this soon. Evie needs to wake up.

((A/N: Last but certainly not least King Ben))

Ben's POV

Who would do something like this to Evie. Evie didn't deserve to be here like this. Mal was crying, Mal almost never cries, Doug was looking like someone just died, Jay looked ready to cry, Carlos looked like he was about to try and shake the girl awake, Audrey looked like she was uncomfortable, Lonnie looked ready to kill someone, Chad looked ready to strike, strike what, I don't know, but something. Jane couldn't even look at Evie, in reality neither could I. I needed to be strong for everyone here, but inside I was crying. This wasn't fair, this shouldn't have been Evie, if anyone deserved to be laying on that bed it should be me.

For a moment I was just sitting there not really thinking about anything, then it dawned on me. "Hey guys, lets give Doug sometime alone here." Everyone nods to my decrey. We all start walking out but before I head for the door I put my hand on Doug's shoulder. He looks up at me, "try something new. You love her right?" He nods softly, "you've loved her since the moment you laid eyes on her right?" Again he nods, "she loves you, right?" He nods, "Ben what are you getting at?" I chuckle, "you both love each other, try something new, something that woke up her stepsister." I smile before heading out the door. I hope my plan works, if it doesn't I don't know what will.

Doug's POV

What was Ben saying, but then he said 'something that woke up her stepsister.' I was confused, but then remembered the story Uncle Doc used to tell us about Aunt Snow being awoken by true loves kiss from Prince Ferdinand, well now uncle Ferdinand. Oh my god! Ben your a genius, why didn't I think of that. Of course True Love's kiss, it works every time. I just hope me and Evie are true love.

I stand up taking at deep breath before kissing Evie softly on the lips. I pull back slowly, before my head is hit with something hard, "Ow." I hear a girls voice mumble, but not just any voice, my Evie's voice. I open my eyes to see Evie's chocolate brown eyes staring into mine. She had her hand rubbing her forehead, "Evie!" I smile brightly kissing her again, this time she kisses back. It worked, Ben's idea worked, Evie is awake and in my arms once again.

She pulls back for air, I needed some too. "Doug what happened?" She asks softly grabing my hand, our fingers automatically intertwine together. "You took a bite of the apple and it was poisoned, you feel into a coma." I whisper softly, "so someone did the same thing, my mom did to Snow White. Of course." She sighs rolling her eyes slowly. "Wait how did I wake up?" Oh yeah that. "I kissed you." I whisper barely audible. "Wait you kissed me..... That makes us...... Are we....? Doug true loves kiss." She rambles softly trying to figure out what happened, "Doug! We are true love!" She smiles softly pulling my head down to her level kissing me passionately, I smile into the kiss.

Evie's POV

When Doug told me he kissed me, and that's how I woke up. I couldn't believe it, true love. "Wait you kissed me..... That makes us...... Are we....? Doug true loves kiss." I couldn't believe I rambled like an idiot. Not that Doug would care either way, but still that's what I just did. "Doug! We are true love!" I pull his head down kissing him passionately, I couldn't believe it. True loves kiss works every time. I love him so much and now I found my true love, this is the best thing in the world. I feel him smile into the kiss the same moment as I did. I forgot about everything that happene and about the world for the time being, I just loved the idea of kissing Doug.
