The tour itself was interesting, but I owe most of it to who I spent the tour with. Everyone was chatting to a friend by their side and I'm glad Leia was there to be mine.
'To conclude our tour: this famous room, folks, is the red room,' said the guide, opening the door and allowing us all to flood in. All the chatter shifted to auditions again, as Leia turned to look at me.
'This room looks all too familiar,' she said, laughing. 'I feel like we'd make a ton of cool memories here.' For a second, we locked eyes. 'I mean, that's if we get to go here, I'm not just talking about us because that'd be craaaazy there were so many auditioners and-' She quickly looked at the ground and blushed. 'OK fine, I'll admit it,' she went on, 'I figured we'd make pretty good band mates.'
I folded my arms and thought for a while. 'You mean like jazz fusion?' I asked.
'Yes!' she shouted, as the room of teens turned and stared. 'We'd be nothing on Inbetween but we'd be the best at LaF for sure!'
The guide concluded the tour and marched over to Leia. There was an awkward silence lingering in the air, until the words 'you could be stars' came from the woman's mouth. Leia smiled and we picked up our bags, ready to leave the studio for what could be the first and last time. 'This experience is what you make it,' she went on. 'Have a good evening.'
The rest of the auditioners had already left, leaving Leia and I in the rose room once again. We both knew what came next but goodbyes always seemed strange to me.
'I guess you can finally go and rush home now then,' she said with a giggle, checking her phone as we walked through the corridors.
'I feel like when I go here, if I'm lucky enough to get that chance, I'll never want to leave. No excuse will break me away from music,' I told her.
She nodded, fiddling with her phone as we neared the exit.
'Yeah, totally,' she murmured. 'Music is important. Like people.' By this point, we were stood at the doorway, the noise of the bustling streets breaking through the windows. Despite the beeping cars and the people shouting, the loudest sound came from Leia's phone. 'It's my mom.' She sighed. 'I gotta get back home. It was great meeting you, Luke,' she said, as her phone sounded again. There was an uncertainty of whether to hug Leia or shake her hand or something like that, though as we departed in different directions, the phrase 'see you later' was all I said. It was certainly an adventurous day, though I couldn't be sure, besides anywhere but my hopes, whether I'd really come to see Leia and Lost and Found later or not.
