Once more a loud bang exploded through the potion classroom. Causing sniggers throughout the class. You, on the other hand, chuckled lightly and helped wipe off your partner's, now blackened, face.
"Oh Seamus...I told you not to add too much wormwood..."
"Sorry...I got a bit carried away" he smiled as you brushed some ash off his cheek sweetly.
You two had been best friends since his first year at Hogwarts. You two had locked eyes while boarding the train, causing Seamus to miss the door and smack into the train, you laughed lightheartedly and had helped him up. You two sat together on the train and exchanged names, addresses, and goofy stories. You two were still best friends to this day. Fourth Years. Hermione met you outside of class,
"So?"
"So what?"
"Did he ask you yet?"
"Ask me what?"
"To the Yule Ball...I overheard him talking about it to his friends...he has quite the crush on you"
"I don't know who you're talking about but the only feelings I have is for Seamus. Though he probably doesn't return them"
"Oh (Y/N) how can you be so gullible, you'll figure it out eventually"
You smiled and walked away. You began to walk away, humming a song, when Seamus ran up beside you,
"Hey (Y/N), I was wondering if you would come with me please, tonight. I promise I won't try anything. I just have a surprise"
***Later that Night***
You followed Seamus down to the Room of Requirement, he flung open the door as a bunch of fireworks exploded in your face. You yelled in surprise and fell into his arms,
"Oh, (Y/N), I'm so so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you like that...I just wanted to surprise you and ask you to the Yule Ball"
You wiped some of the ash from your face,
"You didn't need to do that...*cough*...you just needed to ask! Of course I want to go with you! *cough* Now I know what it's like to be you..." you laughed a little
"Oops..."
"It's okay. Makes me see how appreciative you are about me helping you clean up"
"Yeah, you could say we have an EXPLOSIVE love"
"Seamus Finnigan, did you just make a pun about explosives?" You asked as he pulled you gently into his arms,
"Yes...yes I did" he said, nuzzling your nose before gently laying his lips on yours. You wrapped your arms around his neck, burying your hands into his soft brown (now blackened) hair and deepening the kiss. Dean and Hermione were watching from afar,
"Finally they figured it out!"
"Yeah, but I'm still sure that Filch won't be happy when he finds out we blew up a part of the castle"
"You're right, we better get them out of here and find them a room"
