Chapter 3

First time is the hardest!

I slept on the ground to be woken up at the sound of footsteps. I looked up and saw the wolf from before standing with a black wolf with white paws. I stood.

I took a step forward. "Can you understand me?" they looked at me then rushed forward. I stepped back but they caught me.

I passed out as a was put onto the black wolfs back.

I woke to pain ripping at my body! I gasped as I saw a bright light, and I felt small.

I heard people whispering, and I listened in.

"She is nothing but a pup! She needs someone to nurse from!" a voice whispered frantically.

"nonsense, she was a teenager like us!" said another voice.

I shivered, and felt their eyes on me.

"How are you feeling?" the second voice asked.

I tried to speak, but it came out in a growl. I opened my eyes and tried to stand.

A nose touched me, and I turned my head to see the black wolf. He looked at me.

"ha, that proves it!" the other voice said. The black wolf growled, making him fall silent.

I managed to stand when I realized I was less than half the size of the black wolf, while he was crouching.

I tried to step back but tripped on my tail. Instantly I freaked out.

I looked down at my body. I had a tail, four legs, a long snout, and my ears were at the top of my head!

I started to panic, and tried to run away, but the black wolf grabbed me from the scruff of my neck and lifted me high off the ground.

I squirmed and tried to free myself.

This was not what I expected!

I looked and say the first voice had come from the white and black wolf from before.

I growled, not knowing why I looked like this and why I couldn't speak.

I was taken out of a den. I looked around before the black wolf jumped onto a rock and set me down.

He growled loudly, making me jump.

I looked down to see what looked like a hundred wolves looking at me.

It was all I took to not run.
