I'm dedicating this chapter to Ara_McKenzie who encouraged me to continue writing this story! Sorry for such a long wait. Writer's block is a b¡tch.

"Your mate is going to hate them you know," Nima said. Her and Steela were perched on my bed as I came out of the bathroom, my hair still dripping wet from my quick shower. They had all my makeup and hair supplies spread everywhere. It looked like a tornado of beauty supplies had come through while I was gone. I internally groaned. They had to do my makeup because I didn't know how, but in my opinion, they went slightly overboard with it.

"Well that sucks for him," I said, drying my hair with my towel. "If my mate thinks I'm going to stop talking to my best friends because they're boys he has another thing coming." The girls rolled their eyes at me. Steela was Nik's younger sister and Nima was Max's older sister. Nima was already mated to a wonderful boy. She had gotten lucky and her mate had been in the same pack as her so she didn't have to leave her family.

"It's not just that they're boys, Lana," Steela spoke up. "It's also that they're unmated. You remember how long it took Nima's mate to let her hand out with Nik again." Nima rolled her eyes. Her mate didn't really have a choice since Nik was the future Alpha and always around the pack house.

"That's his problem," I replied with shrug. The girls rolled their eyes at me again. We've been having this conversation since I turned 18, but I really wasn't having it. The only reason mates were so protective is 'cause the guys couldn't keep it in their pants most of the time. It was a shame how many female wolves saved themselves for their mate only for them to not have done the same thing. I didn't have hopes for mine.

I turned and saw the dress the girls had set out for me, and my breath caught in my throat. The girls went shopping without me periodically because they knew how much I hated it. They also knew that if they went without me they could stock my closet with whatever they wanted and I couldn't argue with them. That was part of the reason I didn't wear fifty percent of my closet, but they always made sure I wore everything at least once. It didn't annoy me enough to actually go shopping with them regularly, though, and they knew that.

"Make over time!" Nima exclaimed, breaking me out of my thoughts. I groaned audibly, my head falling back so I was looking at the ceiling. Steela and Nima shot up to their feet, grabbing my arms, and dragging me over to a chair, and sitting me down. There wasn't any mirror near me because I wasn't allowed to see what they were doing until they were done. I sat there while they did my hair and makeup, moving as they told me to. They eventually finished with everything and let me up to change into the dress they'd given me. I just changed in front of them because there's a mirror in my bathroom, and that would have ruined the surprise. They had to help me zip up the back anyway.

Nima opened up my closet and finally let me see the work they had done. I gasped at what I saw. The dress was beautiful. The dark green in the dress went wonderfully with my tanned skin tone. It hugged my frame at the top before flaring out at the bottom. The pattern that went over my arms looked a little like tattoos. I did a quick twirl as I watched the dress flow out around me. They had given me small wedges because I could not wear heels to save my life. They'd kept my makeup pretty natural, light everything with a light pink lipstick. My naturally wavy hair framed my face perfectly. I looked amazing. I quickly hugged them before they went to get ready themselves.

Steela came out looking amazing, as always. It wasn't unusual to see her in a pretty dress with makeup and some heels. She had had body issues in the past, but after her brother - along with Max and I - sent some guy to the hospital for bullying her she worked extra hard to like what she saw in the mirror. Now she was the most confident out of the three of us. It warmed my and Nima's hearts. Steela's dress was a pink/purple two piece that showed off a bit of her stomach. I knew Nik was going to have something to say about that, but I also knew as his sister Steela could just tell him to shove it. The top part came up around her neck and had a pattern out of some black material that corresponded with a black belt around the skirt. She had black heels on as well, that I knew I would trip and break my neck in if I tried to walk in them.

Nima looked gorgeous too. Her dress was a light green with some rhinestone accents. The dress was split into two by a rhinestone belt that separated the top pattern from the bottom.  The top part of the dress also had a nude colored section with rhinestones around the edges. She had matching silver heels that sparkled when she walked. Her mate was going to love it.

"We look amazing," Steela said, linking arms with the two girls. "Now let's go meet that mysterious Alpha."

A/N:

Again sorry for the late update and shitty chapter. Depression and writer's block have been kicking my ass. I tried to push through to write this but Idk how successful I was. You're all so amazing for being patient with me. I'm not going to lie. Part of the reason this took so long was because I had to find dresses for the girls, and actually, find face claims for everyone. It takes me forever to make up my mind about things. I take like 30 minutes while doing homework just to pick a font.

Also, I hate writing exposition and descriptions. Is it as boring to read as it is to write?

Don't forget to tell me what you think. Trust me I thrive off of comments.
