Chapter 2

I spent my life sighing and so Woojin with me. The senior year of high school was being horribly boring and we were all looking forward to winter break, but there were still two weeks left for that. We sat each on our seats, the tables were set up in pairs and my partner was Jihoon. Jihoon was quite popular in high school, just like Woojin and me. Although my popularity was just because I was friends with them since my ability to socialize sucked a lot . Last week had been hell, everyone was talking about Daniel and the girls murmured the whole time his name making my head want to explode. Kang's table was situated in the last row. He always sat cross-legged on the desk while listening to music with his headphones on, although he sometimes spoke with Woojin. The girls screamed as Daniel began to sing quietly to the lyrics of the song he was listening to. "Daniel is so perfect" "I would kill to be that chair" were some of the things that could be heard in the class. I tried to focus on my task, I had to finish my biology project in 3 days but the screams werent helping. "Before Daniel came the class was so quiet," I said furiously as I leaned my head on the table. Jihoon started laughing at the faces I was making "It's not funny!" I said as I lightly pinched his arm. "Oh, no, do not pinch me again," complained Jihoon. "I'm sorry, but they really make me nervous and more nervous makes me Kang for not saying anything ..." Jihoon stroked my hair and I melted a little inside. The screams increased at times, as did my despair and anger. At last I got up from the chair and went to Daniel. "Yaaaah tell your fans to please turn down the volume," I said as I kicked his chair. Daniel looked at me with his eyes wide open, but he recovered quickly and with a nice smile he replied "Oh, I'm sorry that they are bothering you, I told them to turn down the volume before when I saw you studying , but I'll speak to them again." A "thank you" was all I could say. I returned to my seat a little out of place since I had not expected that answer, nor that my heart beated quickly or that my head was spinning as fast as when Jihoon spoke to me. I looked at him once more and met his gaze. Kang Daniel smiled at me and I was smiling back.
