I gasped and tensed up instantly after hearing the name I had tried so hard to forget for the past month. George noticed my sudden reaction and looked at me inquisitively.

"What's the matter?" He asked kindly absentmindedly putting his hand on mine to comfort me. He noticed his actions and quickly retracted his hand but still looked at me with curiosity in his his big gentle brown eyes. I cleared my throat nervously as I looked up to the stage where he was getting on. I shook my head wordlessly staring up at at the blond haired blue eyed boy who stood upon the stage with the sparkle in his eyes that used to make me melt every time I gazed into them.

George saw my gaze locking to the stage and turned around to try and see what the problem was. Nothing good ever happens at bars and clubs, how had I such luck to run into not one but two people I had to tried to avoid in the last two trips to them? My stomach started to knot up watching him begin to sing.

"Is it the band?" George asked looking back at me observantly. I looked at him with a slight frown not wanting to worry George with something so heavy as the past I've had with, him.

"It's nothing, erm, just someone I used to know is all." I said taking a sip of my Coca Cola to try to distract myself. He looked unconvinced but nodded letting it go.

The truth of the matter was that the boy who took centre stage was once someone I thought I loved. That is until I found him cheating on me with some blonde girl who was much prettier than I could ever be. I had never felt more betrayed in my life, they boy who I'd spent so much time thinking about only lead me on to make me think he'd actually cared for me.

I'd been so naive, thinking all those sweet nothings were true. Well sometimes it's funny how long "forever" actually lasts. After the day we broke up I had promised myself to never get too attached to someone so quickly as I did Mike, because it's sometimes difficult to tell between infatuation and love, his affection for me being only infatuation and he became bored with me very quickly, tossing me aside like some sort of toy.

I never want to be hurt as I was by him, so I tried putting a shell around myself, but with the boy sitting beside me it seemed to almost completely slip out of mind.

This was the first time I've seen Micheal since the beginning of December and it rubbed roughly on raw heartache, snapping me out of the daydream I'd been put in by the four handsome Beatles.

"Get yer' hands off of me!" John suddenly growled making the two of us look over to where John was being manhandled by two bouncers. My eyes widened seeing them escorting him to the doors without any remorse. What had he done now? George drew a heavy sigh from beside me with a look of disappointment spreading as he watched the scene unravel.

"Guess that's my cue to get him home." George sighed getting off the high barstool slightly irritatedly.

"I'll come too." I spoke quickly soon realizing how eager it came out, longing to get away from the boy onstage.

"I mean, my uncle Brian might send a search party if I stay out much longer." I added nervously looking at my watch making him chuckle.

George and I walked out of the now overly crowded pub only to find John outside sitting slumped against the wall lighting a cigarette that hung lazily from his mouth. George scoffed approaching him and grabbing ahold of his arm to heave him to his feet. John slurred in protest but nevertheless got to his feet looking miserably at the ground.

"What happened in there?" I asked with a slight giggle making a giant grin spread across his lips.

"I went into the wrong bathroom." He slurred happily puffing a large white cloud of smoke out from his upturned lips. I scrunched my nose in disgust, why am I not surprised? George let out a muffled laugh as John stumbled into him for support.
