Today was the day the madness really began,
Hamburg, Germany.
To say my uncle was a nervous wreck would be the understatement of the year as we were at NEMS that day.
"Poppy, you've got all you things here, correct?" My uncle inquired anxiously for the fiftieth time with an armful of papers rushing out of his office and over to Alistair's.
"Yes sir, all my things are here and ready to go." I confirmed flatly looking down at a Mercybeat magazine. We were all planning on meeting here before we drove off to the airport, which now would be any minute.
I hadn't really seen any of the boys accept for George since they'd shown up to the house to tell me about their meeting they set up at EMI, I'd had either been working, going to school, or feeling sick the entire week. I had definitely caught something from George, but by this time the only remains of the virus was an irritated throat.
"Hello." Someone suddenly whispered in my ear making me jump. I looked up abruptly to see John with a smirk turning his lips upward.
"Fuck off." I said clutching my hand with my heart. He laughed cheekily.
"Good afternoon to you too darling." He jabbed happily, almost too chipper. My expression stayed rested on my features, looking at him unenthusiastically. George and Pete entered in after him both smiling from ear to ear making me perk up suddenly fixing my posture in the presence of George.
George smiled at me and came over to the counter with a gleeful bounce in his step. I leaned over and placed a kiss on his lips softly, which he returned joyfully, making me feel like I was on top of the world.
"Get a room." John groaned. I giggled at George's annoyed expression as he glared at John clearly over John's comments.
"Oh boys! You're here!" My uncle exclaimed joyously making my stomach drop as I sat back down in my chair, he still had no clue about George and I, I felt so guilty considering his parents knew all about me. I had even gone to that dinner that George had invited me to and all I could think about was how much I knew I needed to tell my uncle. John nodded with a grin, shoving his hands into his pockets.
"Paul is in the car fixing his hair." John scoffed. "He's been looking at himself in the mirror all morning y'know." John spoke amusedly making Pete and George snicker.
"Have not!" Paul broke in abruptly, coming through the doors of NEMS. I smirked at John as his amused expression grew.
"Yes you have, and you've been pacing around the living room rambling about nothing for hours. Are you nervous about something, Macca?" John spoke pushing Paul's patience.
They started to bicker, leaving my uncle to look over at me helplessly, as if we were babysitting two toddlers. I shrugged with a dazed smile, I felt in too good of a mood to be brought down.
"-you're a bloody wanker John. Keep Dot out of it you twat!" Paul screeched clearly louder than the rest of the argument making my eyebrows crease. Dot? I pursed my lips trying to brush off the thought looking down over at George who's mouth was slightly agape at John's previous comment.
"Alright boys, that's enough." My uncle spoke sternly after a moment of their continuous back and forth. They both huffed with irritation.
"Shall we go to the airport then?" George asked lightheartedly in hopes lift the tension in the room.
"Yes! We should get going, our fight-flight leaves soon." My uncle agreed nervously looking at his watch. I bit my lip to muffle my laughter. I then stood up to grab my luggage that were laid on the ground beside when George came over to my side to help.
