Chapter 4

Edith's POV

The walk to the lake was extremely slow, I was trying my hardest to slow down time. Delay facing my mate again.

My wolf was practically screaming at me to basically run to the lake, to jump into his arms and tell him how much I love him.

Alpha Jason, the most known name. I've heard many stories about him, many bad stories. How he ripped a humans head off because he was in his territory, poor human never even would of seen it coming.

As the lake came into view so did the beautiful scent of my mate, my wolf howled with excitement as she kept yelling at me to go faster.

I hesitantly walked over with my bag over my back, I only packed clothes and a few personal things. Nothing much at all, I hoped I wouldn't be there to long.

"Is that all you've brought with you?" I hear my mates voice, I gulp softly before I look up meeting his dark eyes. He wasn't showing emotion, it scared me slightly.

"Problem with it?" I ask stopping once I'm in front of him, his eyes look over me before going down my body, down my legs before back up to my breasts.

"My eyes are up here" I snap as I point up towards my face, before I could think my bag was on the floor and I was pushed up against a tree. A gasp leaves my lips as I close my eyes feeling a sting go through my spine.

"Let's get one thing clear little mate" he whispers in my ear sending shivers down my spin, his hands grip my wrists keeping me pinned to the tree "you are mine, if I want to look at you I will. Do you understand?" He asks. I had no idea what to say, I was in shock.

My silence must of made him mad sense he pulled me back before slamming me into the tree again, making me whimper in pain.

"Do you understand?!" He yells making me quickly nod

"Yes" I say quickly making him let me go as he takes a step away from me.

"Good"

I take a breath as my eyes watch him closely in fear, just the thought of me hurting him made me upset. How could he do that and not feel a thing?

"We're going home follow me" he says as he walks away from me, I hesitantly walk over picking my bag up before following him into the forest.

Was he going to hurt me? Reject me? Why hadn't I just rejected him yet? I had so many questions that I had no idea how to answer.

We walked in silence, he was a few feet in front of me but kept looking back at me every few minutes. Once we reached the boarder line I stopped in my tracks, my eyes looked back at the way we came from.

"Hurry up" I hear Jason's voice say as he steps over the border, this was it. I mean this is still my pack and nothing will change that, Jason can't make me join his pack but not being at the place I grew up in broke my heart.

Not being near harry broke my heart, I let out a small sigh as I continue to walk following after Jason silently.

My eyes widen as a large home came into my sight, it was offical. I was on Jason's territory and at his pack house, this place was bigger then my pack house.

"Wow" I whispered to myself as I followed Jason to the door, he stopped walking once he got to the door. Turning to face me he grabbed my arm just above my elbow making me bite my lip, his touch made sparks fly through me and I couldn't help but love it.

"Stay silent" he demands before roughly pulling me inside the house gaining a few people to stare, Jason payed no attention to them as he pulled me up the staircase and into the first room on the right.

"Stay in here"he tells me before stepping out of the room and slamming the door shut, I hear him lock it before he walks away.

I had no idea what to do, no idea how to react. I was more confused then anything.
