Sent into the Maze

I sat on my bed, feeling weak as usual. The world has been in chaos every since the flare came. Me and my older brother by one year, Thomas were given to an organisation called WCKD where our father works, I hate him. Every since I came here they saw there was something strange with my blood and so I was separated from my brother. Turns out my blood is a rare cure to the flare, they have been experimenting on me ever since. I have been through torture and Thomas is there to support me when he can but barley. We can never see each other because he is too busy working for this ridiculous organisation.

The door opens and two guards and a doctor come in.

"Time for more test Samantha" the doctor says.

Usual routine I guess. I stand up and head towards the door and the two guards stand beside me. We all walk in into the laboratory and I see Teresa here.

"What is she doing here?" I ask.

"Teresa will be one of the new scientist here" said my father.

I nod and let the testing begin. They drain some of my blood to see if there test has worked, haha it hasn't suckerssss. Teresa comes to hug me and puts something in my hand while she does it and then I am heading back to my room. I get out the note and it says:

Get ready for Thomas tonight

Get ready for Thomas tonight? What's going on?

Before I knew it, night had fallen well that's what it said on my clock. Someone came bursting into the door and I look up and whispered

"Thomas"

"Its me Sammy" He smiles.

We rush to each other and hug each other, the last time we saw each other was probably around 6 months ago.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"Now, it was hard trying to find a place for you to be safe but I think I found one" Thomas smiles.

He drags me out of the room and we hurry down the corridor, we kept zig zagging through the building. Then the alarms go off.

"We're nearly there"

All of a sudden a guy comes out of no where and tries to through a knife at him, however I stand in the way and get hit instead.

"Samantha" He says while picking me up and rushing down the other hallway. We finally reach to a room and he locks the door. I see a big box that I believe goes up, that's when I realized I knew where I was going.

"Your putting me in the maze?"

"Its the only safe place for you"

"But what about you?" I ask.

I start to tear up and he wipes it away.

"Don't you worry about me, I think well see each other soon"

He carries me to the box and tells me that they will fix my wound, we hug for each other last time and he injects a syringe in my neck. Thomas presses the button which closes the door and gets ready to send me up. The door burst open an they all attack Thomas however I was to weak to yell or speak. My vision starts to blur and I feel the box go up, it's time to go up into the maze and so I fell asleep.
