"This is really nice." A voice stated, pulling Em from her thoughts. She was taking a moment to herself to fully take everything in, but someone approached her from the side.
Emory turned around and came face to face with a beautiful woman that she had never seen before, but then again, half the faces in her event were unfamiliar.
"Thank you," Em smiled politely.
She didn't want to be rude but she had been smiling and shaking hands all day. At this point, all she wanted to do was find Goon and Christen her back office. It had always been a fantasy of Em's to have sex in a room full of people. Of course, she didn't want them watching, but the thrill of getting caught did something to her.
"The owner did a great job of bringing her vision to life. I love the vibe. Would you be able to point me her direction?" Carmen asked, still trying to hold a conversation with a preoccupied Emory. She had no idea she was speaking to the owner being that she missed the ribbon cutting. She was looking for Shyara, to Carmen's knowledge she was Goon's girlfriend.
Em sighed a little trying to hide her annoyance, "You're looking at her... Emory Matthews." She stated, holding her hand out for the stranger to shake.
Em couldn't spot Goon, but he told her a few executives and potential investors were invited to the grand opening. Since she had no idea if this lady was one of them, she decided it would be best if she played nice.
"Oh... I'm sorry, I thought... You know what, nevermind..." Carmen chuckled embarrassed. It didn't even surprise her to see that Goon was entertaining more than one woman. "I'm Carmen."
Em and Carmen shook hands and started to chit chat about her vision for the salon, meanwhile Goon was facing his own dilemma.
_________Goon's nostrils flared as he watched Alisha walk hand in hand with her ex Malik. Malik was the nigga behind Goon and Alisha's demise, and everytime Goon saw him he felt that same hurt all over again.
Em's salon was in a busy plaza that held clothing, furniture, and other stores women liked to spend their free time in. It was a no-brainer for this to be the location of the place, but now Goon was having second thoughts.
"Hang tight real quick," Goon shot to Jay, passing him a blunt. The two of them were on the side of the building blowing a spliff, idle chatting.
Gutter shot Goon a text saying he had to make moves before he cut out. As much as Goon wanted to blow the spot, he couldn't leave Em hanging on her big day. Seeing Alisha smiling and holding hands with this nigga had knocked Goon off his square.
Jay nodded taking the blunt from Goon. He was so busy texting Serenity to make sure she was straight that he missed whatever it was that caught Goon's attention.
Goon strolled over to the Home Goods store he watched Alisha and Malik walk in. He had to mentally coach himself to be cool, but he was pissed.
Goon walked around in search of them and found them on a aisle for man cave accessories.
"Well, well, well..." Goon stated catching them both off guard. Alicia's heart began thumping wildly as Malik grabbed her hand and shot Goon a satisfied smirk.
Malik was one of those high school jock type niggas. He stood at least six feet, three inches tall. Weight lifting had him weighing in at a solid two hundred and fifty pounds, all muscle. His Cappuccino colored smooth skin made it look like he had a strict skincare routine. This nigga screamed pretty boy with his tight Cognac colored eyes, deep dimples, and perfectly aligned teeth. So it only pissed Goon off to see him standing there smirking.
