Killian's P.O.V
A brown haired little boy runs past and up the stairs. I look up after him and just shake my head, laughing a bit. I take a sip of my coffee before walking over to the front door where I can hear my wife's voice coming from. She sounds panicked.
Walking out, I notice that Regina looks sad. It's not just Emma. The two are hugging and I give Regina a questionable look. She sighs and lets go of Em, turning her so she's looking at me.
"What's going on, love?" I ask, noticing the fear and guilt she's hiding behind her eyes.
She's become happier since when we picked her up, but she's still very depressed. I can see her trying to hide it, trying to suppress the pain so she can save everyone.
"It's my parents! Yzma did something to them!" she growls, frustrated. I suppress a smile of joy from seeing a glimpse of the old Emma.
"How can you be sure?" I ask, wanting to double check that this isn't a trick.
"Snow wants to kill her. Now stop being so insensitive! She's your wife for gods sake!" Regina rolls her eyes, making me do the same.
"Don't worry, we'll fix this," I give Emma a reassuring smile before kissing her forehead and walking out of the yard and past the protection spell placed on the house. There's something not right here and I can feel it.
Snow and Charming should be able to overcome this spell with their true love for each other. Why aren't they? I wonder, pounding my head with my hand so I'll think. Wait, Snow just found out that Charming cheated on her! Of course he's not her true love right now! Her true love is either Neal or Emma. It probably is Emma! Oh wouldn't that be a nasty trick. Her true love is the person she wants dead!
I growl, running to Snow and Charming's ranch. If Emma is going to save the world, she should do it with her parents by her side, not going against her.
"You! Where's Emma?!" David immediately asks, walking over with a scowl on his face.
I look into his light blue eyes, revealing the spell placed on him. It's a mix of several potions, something very hard to defeat. Grumbling, I walk over to him and search his face for some sort of answer.
"Emma is at home trying to figure out how to beat Yzma and save the world. Why do you ask?"
"She stole our son from us! Yzma said she was bad news. We should've just disowned her when we had the chance!"
"Whoa! David, this isn't you! Don't go doing anything irrational!" I immediately panic, knowing that if they do that Emma will no longer be the savior.
"She's caused us too much damage already! If we disown her she can be charged for kidnapping Neal," he smirks at the idea.
"Oh no you don't! Sorry about this, mate," I mutter grabbing a log and hitting him over the head with it. "Don't worry, only Snow will miss you right now!"
I pick him and and drag him to his pickup, taking his keys from his pocket. I buckle him in and drive as fast as I can back home. I place my hand on David as we go through the protection spell. Once we're home and safe, I grab him and carry him up to his room in the house, locking the windows and doors so he can't escape.
"Now stay and be nice!" I mutter, turning to leave.
"What happened...?" David whispers, rubbing his head and sitting up slowly.
"You hit your head, but don't worry! Yzma can still talk to you here!" I lie, obviously wanting him to know it's a lie.
"What are you talking about, Killian? Where's Emma? Did you find her?"
I turn back and look at the dirty blonde haired male sitting on the floor. I give him a strange look before walking over and staring into his blue eyes.
"What are you doing? Where's Emma? I need to talk to her about Yzma! She needs to know this in order to save everyone! Plus I want to check on her. She is my little girl after all," he smiles at the thought, catching me off guard.
"Wait, you don't hate Emma?"
"Why would I hate her? She's my daughter! I love her to death!"
I stand back up, and look back at the door, noticing Annabella and Neal in the hallway. I give them a small smile and gesture for them to enter. Bella slowly leads Neal in, making sure not to get too close to David in case this is a trick.
"What's going on?" David asks, looking from the children to me.
"David, Yzma put you under a spell and you basically were threatening to disown Emma so she brought Neal here for his safety then you-" I pause, walking over and sending the children right outside for a few minutes. "You threatened to kill her for taking Neal. Well actually, Snow swore she'd kill her."
"What are you- we'd never! She's our child! We love her to death!!" David stands, becoming defensive.
"It wasn't your fault, David. Yzma made you do it!"
David shakes his head, pushing past me and opening the door. He runs downstairs to where Emma is discussing the plan to defeat Yzma with August. When she sees David she immediately pauses and looks to me fearfully.
"What's going on? Why is Killian spatting nonsense about me wanting you dead?" David yells at Emma, obviously angered by what I said to him.
"Dad I-" she begins, looking to me for reassurance. "Yzma kidnapped you then altered your mind so you thought of me as an enemy rather than a daughter..."
"Emma, I'd never-"
"You did, dad! That potion, spell, whatever it was, it messed with your mind! I saw a side of you that I never thought possible! I still love you, dad, but I need some time away from you while I try to work out what just happened," with that, she gets up and leaves.
I sigh, finally coming to the realization that Emma lost the baby due to stress. I stop David from going after her, knowing that it will only upset her more. I look into his eyes and notice that he's genuinely upset about this. He's definitely back to his normal self, but the real question is, what's going to happen to Snow?
"I think I'm going to go lie down," he whispers, walking upstairs to his room.
I have to find a way to have Emma break Snow's curse without hurting either of them.
I sigh and walk outside to the backyard where Neal, Anna, and Henry are playing. I smile a bit, seeing the three play so nicely together.
A wave of sadness rushes over me as I watch them. A sadness that is undeniably from the deceased baby that Emma and I lost. I frown, imagining how nicely all four of them would play once our little one was old enough.
"I wish you were still here," I whisper to the sky, knowing that our baby is looking down on us.
I turn and walk back inside, shutting the door before checking on Emma. She needs me more than anyone else right now.
