I lay my head down after a long day of endless searching. My hand runs along the sheets, making me frown when I feel that Emma's side is cold instead of warm from her body heat.

I get that she needed time away from her dad, but did she have to leave to do it?

I've been searching for her all day, but found nothing so far. After she left yesterday David and I decided to give her until nightfall. When she didn't return, we began to panic.

I sit up and sigh. I should be out there looking, not in here trying to sleep. With Yzma and her slaves running about, I don't even want to think of the horrors she could be in.

I throw the sheets off the bed, standing up and running downstairs, putting my clothes on as I do. I grab David's keys and run out of the house, being sure to lock the door behind me.

I drive through every street, alley, and back road, not finding a thing. I clutch the steering wheel and scream in frustration. I need to find her, and I need to find her now.

"Where are you, Swan?" I whisper into my hands, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

I look back out the windshield and see Emma running from what looks to be her mom. I watch as Emma trips, her mom running at her with a knife.

"I WON'T HURT YOU!!! I LOVE YOU, MOM!!" Emma screams.

All I can see is fear and sadness on her face. She's crying, trying her best not to hurt Snow. I gasp, but can't get the door open in time. I watch as Snow tackles her daughter, my wife and true love. Emma seems to be dodging the knife when I look down to open the door.

While looking down, I hear a scream of pain making my head dart up. Snow's knife is in Emma's shoulder. Finally getting the door open, I run over, pushing Snow off Emma.

I help Emma into the car as she screams in pain. Before we get in, Emma has an arrow in the same shoulder. I'm angry now, but I know better than to fight someone Emma loves.

I finally get Emma in so I run around to the drivers seat, getting in and just missing an arrow. Emma's screaming in pain and crying hysterically.

"Don't worry, love. We'll be at the hospital shortly!" I reassure her, but she shakes her head.

"N-no! We can't! Yzma's taken over there t-too!" Emma protests, her voice strained from the pain. "W-we need to go straight h-home! My d-dad can help me!"

I sigh, nodding to show I understand. I'm not happy about her not wanting to get proper medical attention, but if we took her to the hospital, Yzma would have her slaves kill Emma while she's in such a vulnerable state.

"You're going to be alright."

"K-Killian, what happened i-in the last five y-years... your sp-speech has changed a-a lot," Emma asks, trying to keep her mind off the pain.

"I guess I was around your parents too much," I smile, only to frown again when I see her still in pain. "After you were taken from us, we endured endless hours of searching. Over a few months we began searching less and less and getting back to our normal routines. Well, everyone but your parents and I. Henry and Anna were devastated. They didn't go to school for weeks. Every day we'd go out and look for you until we had to be home and sleep. Even then, I couldn't stop thinking about you. I guess over time your parents rubbed off on me."

Emma smiles at the thought. I become a little more at ease, knowing she's at least happy.

We finally arrive back at the house. Once I've turned the car off, I get out and pick Emma up, bridal style. Neither one of us dare try to pull the arrow or knife out.

I unlock the door and throw it open, immediately alerting everyone in the house that something's up. I lay Emma on the couch and run to the bathroom, grabbing the first aid kit.

As I'm running out of the bathroom, David, Henry, and Anna are running downstairs. I don't even give them a glance, I'm too worried about my Swan.

I set the kit down on the chair next to the couch where Emma is and begin digging through it. I grab out peroxide, bandages, stitches, and pain killers.

As I begin cleaning it, Emma screams making everyone run over to where I am. As I clean her wounds, I have David pull the knife and arrow out.

Together, David and I are able to patch her up. When we finish, Emma falls fast asleep, obviously exhausted.

David gives me a concerned look as I finish putting away the first aid kit. He's obviously curious about what happened to put Emma in this state. I take a deep breath, throwing the arrow and knife in the trashcan before letting out a sigh relief.

"What happened?! How did Emma end up with an arrow and a knife in her shoulders?!"

"David, it's better to just not ask. Let Emma tell you when she's ready. I'm not going to tell you in case she doesn't want you to know."

He growls at me, but I walk away before he can yell. I roll my eyes, only thinking that if he really loved her, he'd ask her himself.

I walk into the other room where Henry and Anna are taking care of Emma. I notice Anna using a wash cloth to wipe sweat from Emma's forehead. I run over to her and feel her head.

"She has a fever," I say aloud, more to myself than anyone else.

"Dad, it was poison. The arrow and the knife were laced with it!" Anna frowns, worriedly.

"Let me take a look," David pushes, immediately pulling her sweater off her shoulders.

He carefully removes the right shoulder's bandage, revealing the wound. David and I exchange looks as we stare at her blackening veins. We both know this poison because David's had it before.

"Dreamshade," David says grimly.

"David, Gold made you a cure last time, right?"

"Yeah, he did, not sure how though."

"Do you think he could make it again?"

"Possibly, but I'm not sure."

"You should go find and ask him. You know we don't have the best history."

He nods and rushes out. I feel my entire being filling with rage. I just got my Swan back, now I might lose her again. I look to her children who are twenty one years old, but worry and fear is evident on their faces.

"Don't worry, we won't let her leave us," I smile, reassuring them.

They nod. As Anna and I work on keeping Emma comfortable, there's a knock at the door. Henry goes to answer it while Anna gets Emma some water.

"Hello?" Henry asks.

"Are you Henry Mills?" a small female voice asks.

"Yes, why? Who's asking?"

"My name's Lucy! I'm your daughter."

I immediately look up at Henry. He looks to me with pure terror on his face. We both know how this will blow over with Emma.
