Chapter 11
Sherlock's POV
Night Time Wonders
I laid next to Lucinda, her breath was the only thing I could hear. She looked over to me with a smile on her face. As she made her way to the window of my bedroom I could see her pale frame in her undergarments. It's not what you think, she stopped it before it could go that far. I've never met anyone who had made me feel this way in such a short amount of time, let alone at all. She was different, and I didn't just mean that she was an alien from another world.
"I'm sorry Sherlock." She said as she looked out the window her long black hair falling to her waist.
"No need, I should not have pushed you to do something you were not comfortable with." She turned to have me, her arms now crossed over her chest.
"I have a question to ask you." I nodded as a signal for her to continue.
"This deducing power you have, were you born with it, did you study it? or did it come naturally over time?"
"I've had this capability for as long as I can remember actually. I'm not as young as you think."
"Sherlock, I'm older than you so calm down. The age difference is the least of my worries. If I want to be with you or vice versa then we can make that happen. However, if you wish to be with me you have to promise me something. It might sound a tad odd and strange but trust me." I nodded for her continue again.
" Promise me that no matter what happens, that during this war or whatever is going to happen here that you'll trust my decisions and care for me when I need it. No matter what others may speak of me, about being a strong human being I do need comfort at times and I need somebody there. It's a trait I got my father one I wished I didn't possess but I do. So promise me?" I nodded yes.
"I promise," I said softly." Thank you." She smiled slightly before walking over to me, crawling on top of me and kissing me gently. Goodnight Sherlock, Sleep well. Tout va etre bien."
The Next Day
Lucinda's POV
I woke up to the sound of Sherlock's breath, I looked over to him and remembered last night. The way he kissed me, the way he had his hands on my body. I felt exposed but also loved. By somebody that wasn't my mother or my father. I got out from under the covers and put on my tank top and black ripped jeans. As I Buttoned them up I felt a pair of strong warm arms wrap around my waist.
"We must keep going, we have to figure out what's going on Sherlock, this is no time for kissing and cuddling; as much as I would enjoy it." I looked at my phone, 0721.
"C'mon, get ready. We're going on a search party." I felt his nod against my back and I left the room.
"Doctor, good morning." He looked up and smiled.
"Morning Lucinda, Sleep well?" I nodded
" Please Doctor, call me Luce."
"Luce it is."
"What are you looking at Doctor? What is this?"
"Last night when everyone was asleep I went for a walk and I found this in an alleyway somewhere on the outskirts of the city."
"It looks alien, wait a minute? Dalek technology. How? I thought I killed them all; when I faced them they were all very weak and I managed to keep them all that way and kill them with my Gun. Which is... great. Now missing."
I sighed as my dad looked at me with curiosity.
"Who are you?" He questioned, putting down the arm of the Dalek down on the table where my hot chocolate still stood from yesterday.
"Just call me Luce. That's all you need to know for now. The rest will come when you're ready." He sighed.
"You remind of somebody, somebody very close to me." I smiled."Very good to know Doctor. I've actually been told that many times actually."
"Lucinda, maybe a better question is, how do you know me? Where did we meet?" He questioned, curious minds will never stop."We met on a planet, Dilirum. However, that was many years ago. At least for me. You've got all of that to come, Doctor. Don't wish for it to be over so soon."
I got up and went over to the kitchen and made myself some tea. Before I knew it I heard Amy and Rory emerge from the TARDIS and speak to my father, about me.
I stayed quiet but I tried to not make myself look suspicious."Doctor, what makes you think we should trust her. She seems a bit off her rocker. And we don't even know this girl. She could be dangerous." Amy states firmly towards my dad.
" Amy, you have to understand something here. Yes, I don't know her but she knows me. From what I gathered this is where I actually meet her. She's from my future; and even though my scared to even think that. Crossing timelines again. I have to trust her because she seems to know what she is talking about. We all have to trust her."
" And trust her we must. I believe she's our way out of this even if she doesn't know it. There's something different about her, Doctor. And that I know, for certain." Sherlock spoke. With such pride but also with a hint of. 'I know exactly what and who she is' but I know that he would never speak a word I did not wish him to.
Suddenly I felt myself get weak, I stood strong as I took my cup of tea into my hands.
I saw nothing my blurred faces and shadows before I fell to the ground with a smash of my mug and my Father and Sherlock both screaming my name before everything went black.
