Shawn's POV
Some of the guys escort me to a room where I'm supposed to be doing a Q&A session. To run down what it is, the fans who paid extra are in a room with me and they have a chance to ask me some questions about anything really.
One of the guys lift up a curtain and I instantly hear tons of girls screaming. I look into the room and can easily see maybe 100 girls. Isn't this a safety hazard?
I take a seat on the table up front and give everyone a wave and smile. I watch as everyone's phones point my direction. Wow, this feels weird. If I say one wrong thing, it'll be everywhere.
"Hey guys, thank you so much for being here," I start off as they scream again. I politely quiet them down so they could hear me. "It means a lot that you all took time in your day to come here and chat with me."
"I love you!" A girl screams from the back.
I chuckle, "I love you too."
I automatically hear the crowd aw.
"How about we start off with a question?"
🌲
"Is anyone going to be joining you when you go back on tour?" The girl with a flower crown asks.
"Um, I would think so," I answer. "I know my family might come to some Toronto shows-"
I was cut off by girls screaming. I smile, realizing they were representing Canada. It's bizarre that people travel just to come to my shows. It means a lot to me.
"But yeah, I know Aaliyah is looking forward to upcoming shows in different cities and I'm happy she gets the chance to explore the world," I finish as the crowd awes yet again. I look into the crowd with a bunch of hands up. "Uh, you with the tealish top."
"Is Chloe going to be there?" She asks as the crowd silences. I guess they really want an answer.
"I would love if she went on tour with me but she doesn't do well with big crowds and I can't force her to go," I reply as everyone laughs. I choose another girl in the back.
"What's Chloe like?" She asks. Okay, I guess we're staying in the Chloe lane.
"Well," I smile, scratching the back of my head. "She's genuinely the sweetest thing. Trust me when I say that. If you ever meet her in person, you'll notice how positive and vibrant she is. She's definitely something."
The crowd awes again as I find myself blushing. Well a bunch of girls here will have that on video.
Chloe's POV
"How was your flight?" Bonnie asks over the phone. She talked me in to facing my fears of large gatherings. I'm not claustrophobic; it's just that me being in a large group of people make me feel stressed out and uncomfortable.
"It was fine," I answer, opening the door to my hotel room. I'm pretty sure it's the same hotel as Shawn's but I don't really pay attention sometimes. "I can't believe I'm in New York City. This is crazy."
"Completely different from Maryland, isn't it?" She says as I nod. She can't see me, what am I doing? I take a peak out the window and admire the view. Wow.
I know New York isn't that far from Maryland but I haven't been outside the state. Shawn's from Canada and he's toured the whole world. We're two different people.
"I'm nervous Bon," I say to her. "I wish you were here with me."
She sighs, "Chlo, just take a deep breath. Just picture Shawn's face when he sees you. It'll be such a nice surprise."
"You're right Bons," I smile.
"Plus, I know for a fact Shawn is pissing himself," she adds as I laugh. "You two are my goals to be honest."
I roll my eyes, "but you and Ash are the actual couple... Right?"
"Yes we are," she proudly states. Well, there's the confirmation that my best friend and my brother are dating again. I knew they were still into each other.
"Well I would love to stay and chat but I have to get to the concert," I explain. "Wish me luck."
"You won't need any, have fun!" She shouts before hanging up. What to wear, what to wear.
After a stressful eight minutes, I stuck with ripped jeans, a black t-shirt, and some slip on vans. I didn't pack much in the first place so I was debating on three outfits.
There were three knocks on my door. I open the door, greeted by a man with glasses. I immediately smile when I see him.
"Chloe, it's so nice to finally meet you," he smiles, pulling me into a hug. Andrew was the one who hooked me up on this trip and I couldn't be any more thankful for him.
"You too," I say back as we pull away. "Thank you so much for flying me out here."
He nod, "anything for Shawn. And he made it pretty clear that you're very important to him so I'd do anything for you as well."
I awe at that sentence, "you're the best."
"We better get going," he explains. "Shawn will notice something's up if I'm not there with him on his big night."
I agree before grabbing my small backpack and following Andrew. I'm walking in a hotel in New York City. I'm following the Shawn Mendes' manager. I'm going backstage to Shawn Mendes' concert. What the actual fuck is happening.
Andrew escorts me into this tinted car before the driver takes off. There was a group of girls waiting outside the hotel but they didn't see us since we used a side entrance. Like I said, the Mendes Army are cute detectives.
I watch the scenery pass by as we head towards Madison Square Garden. Every single street or car we pass, my heart beats faster and faster.
How is Shawn going to react when I surprise him? What if he doesn't care? I mean, I'm not a famous person or anything. What if he doesn't want me to meet anyone because he's embarrassed of me? Maybe I should've worn something different.
I see the car pulling into Madison Square Garden. This is insane. Look how huge this arena is! I can't believe Shawn had a sold-out show here. What is this, like his second time performing here? I don't know.
"You ready?" Andrew asks.
"Ready as I'll ever be," I smile as he does too.
