Shawn's POV

"Are you nervous?" Aaliyah asks, sitting next to me on the couch. "What are you gonna wear? Where are you gonna take her?"

I put my phone down, "none of your business."

She rolls her eyes, "just because she doesn't remember me, doesn't mean I'm still not her friend. What are your intentions brother?"

"I think I'll have to answer that question with Ashton," I reply. "I'm taking her out for dinner, you already know that."

I look at the clock and noticed it was almost time to go. Oh shoot, where has the time gone? I immediately get off the couch and run towards my room. What am I gonna wear. What am I gonna wear. What am I gonna wear.

Chloe's POV

"Bonnie!" I shout as no one answered. "Ashton!"

I groan before heading downstairs. I looked on the kitchen island and saw a note. Who writes notes these days?

I'm sorry I'm not there with you. I hope you have an amazing date with Shawn.

Where the heck is she? I check my phone and notice a message.

Ash
Took Bonnie out to catch up. Enjoy dinner.

I smirk while reading the text. Ash is rekindling their love. I think. I don't know. I hope they work things out.

I checked the time and noticed it was almost time to go. I just got out of the shower like two seconds ago. Plus, my hair's still wet. Where's Bonnie when you need her?

Wait a minute. Aaliyah. I may not know her but she's been nothing but kind to me. I quickly grab my keys and head towards their lake house.

Aaliyah answers the door, "hey Chloe."

"I need your help," I quietly say as she gives me a concerned look. "I have no idea what to wear and Bonnie isn't here and-"

"Aaliyah, is this outfit ok- Oh hi," Shawn says, walking into sight with an unbuttoned shirt.

Aaliyah laughs, "you two are suck dorks," she says before looking at Shawn. "That shirt's fine. Now come on Chloe."

She heads out first as I follow her. Well that was the most embarrassing thing ever.

When we're back in my room, Aaliyah goes through all of my clothes. And when I say that, she's digging through everything.

A couple minutes later, she decided on a cute dress and a pair of flats that I didn't even know existed.

"Thank you so much, you're a life saver," I say to her, giving her a huge hug.

"I know you can't remember me but we were really great friends," she explains as I frown. "I hope we still can be."

I nod, "of course we can. Thank you for not giving up on me. I know I would."

She chuckles, "I mean, Shawn was a huge influence. He missed you every single day you weren't here... Please don't tell him I told you that."

"I won't," I laugh. "You should get back to him. I bet he's more of a mess than I am."

She agrees before heading back to her house. I tried to blow dry my hair as quick as possible but it takes years for it to fully dry so I left it medium rare. I don't think that made sense but I'm in a rush.
