"So, how did it go?" Evie whispered from next to me as we sat in Remedial Goodness 101.

I looked up at her from where I was writing in my journal, "What?" I asked confused.

Mal sighed, not looking up from her drawing of the wand, "She means, how was your date with Ben?"

I opened my mouth to reply saying that it went well...actually really well, but Evie beat me to it.

"Oh..." I followed Evie's gaze down to my journal to see that I had mindlessly written Ben's name over and over across the lined paper, "Yay! I knew it would be perfect!"

As Evie chatted on asking for details about where Ben took me, and what we talked about, I exchanged a glance with Mal who had finally looked up from her paper.

Her green eyes scanned mine, looking for a trace of something. Her features held an unreadable look.

I turned away, quickly shutting my journal as the Fairy Godmother walked towards us.

"Children, excuse me. I'm sure you're aware that this Sunday is Family Day here at Auradon Prep." I nodded, Ben had told me all about it earlier this morning, he wanted me to meet his parents. That thought made me sick. What if they didn't like me? What if I said the wrong thing? What if they thought I was just using Ben, well technically I was, but I didn't want them to know that!

The headmistress continued, "And because your parents can't be here due to...distance." She chuckled lightly, "We've arranged for a very special treat." She then walked over to the computer at the front of the room turning it on to reveal all our parents, oh no.

We all moved towards the screen, watching as Maleficent tried to figure out how to get it working on their end, "I can't! I hate electronics!" She then slammed her hand on the keyboard and we must have popped up because they all seemed to notice us.

"Evie!" The Evil Queen called to her daughter, "How beautiful! The poison apple doesn't fall far from the tree."

Maleficent chucked, "Don't you mean the weed?"

"Oh," Carlos' mom wrinkled her nose, "Who's the old bat?"

"This," I spoke up, looking at my mother through the screen, "Is the Fairy Godmother." I hinted.

"Still doing tricks with oranges?" My father asked sarcastically from where he stood next to EQ.

The Fairy Godmother's face went red, "I turned a pumpkin into a beautiful carriage!"

"You really couldn't give Cinderella until one a.m.?" Mal's mom asked through my mother's laugh, "I mean, really. What? Did the hamsters have to be back on their little wheels?" Soon all the parents were laughing.

"They were mice!" The headmistress turned to me.

I nodded at her, "Yes, of course they were." I told her as she went to the other side of the computer.

"Hi, mom." Mal spoke up, Maleficent's eyes widened.

"Mal! I, uh, m-m" Maleficent had to he slapped on the back by the Evil Queen to get the right words out, "-miss you!"

"You children are never far from our thoughts!" Jafar added in, my dad leaning over him to get closer to the screen.

"I got it." He addressed the others before looking right at me, "Hadey, how long must I wait to see you again?" He asked, though I know he was asking when we were getting the wand.

"Uh, there's a coronation coming up, so probably after that." I hinted, and he nodded.

"When?" Maleficent asked, slowly losing her temper.

Mal then stepped in, "Monday. Ten in the morning."

"Are you sure I can't see you before that? I don't know what I'll do if I don't get my hands on that magic wa-" My eyes grew in size at Maleficent's slip up, but the Evil Queen quickly grabbed her horns, stopping her from finishing her sentence, "You! You little nugget! That
I love so much!"

The purple-haired girl nodded awkwardly, "Yes, I completely understand mother."

Then Cruella's face filled up the entire screen, "Carlos! Is that a dog?" We all looked back to see Dude in the De Vil boy's arms, "Yes, it would make the perfect size for earmuffs!"

Carlos cut off her strange laughter by stepping forward, "He's the perfect size for a pet. This dog loves me, and I love him. And FYI, your dog is stuffed! So give it a rest!" I shot a confused look at Jay, this was the first time in, well in forever that Carlos stood up to his mom.

Jafar laughed, turning to Cruella, "Burn!"

"Oh! Why don't you go sell a toaster you two-bit salesman!"

"People with stuffed animals, shouldn't throw stones!"

"Oh, well, people who sell toasters shouldn't use mixed metaphors."

"Enough, I'm gonna-" Jay cut off the computer, not letting us hear the end of my father's sentence.

The Fairy Godmother looked from the screen to us with a sad look, "I'm sorry."

I shrugged as Jay spoke up, "Thanks for the special treat."

  The Godmother nodded, "Of course."

We then went back to our desks, gathered up out stuff, and set out for the door.

"M," Evie asked her girlfriend, "What do you think our parents are going to do to us if we don't pull this off?"

Mal sucked in a breath, "I think they will be quietly disappointed in us, but ultimately proud of us for doing our best." She smiled, trying to lighten the mood.

"Really?" Carlos asked from my left.

I shook my head, "No, if we don't get the wand we are definitely screwed."
